    Surprising how many other drivers have their passengers wind down their windows so that they can hear a Ferrari actually on the road and in traffic beside them which is a rare event at the best of times.

    Happens with a lot of regularity to me and I'll often drop a gear in the 430 just so the valves in the exhaust open up and let the car bark.

    All part of the wonderful sharing of this marque with the public.

    Does this happen to you as well?

    Yeah, have noticed this a few times also. :):)

    Not as many times as I have got waves and smiles etc.etc. :):)

    I get about 100 waves and smiles everytime I take the Ferrari out. :eek::eek:

    My most memorable experience happened last summer. I was on the highway in the righthand lane minding my own business, I was catching up a car in the lefthand lane. I was within a couple hundred meters of the car in front of me, when the passenger leans out of the car facing backwards to take a picture.

    I geared down 3 times just as I caught up to them, then hammered it. The look on the faces of the two kids in the car was precious.

    It happens to me all the time, waves, pictures, etc. Surprisingly it happens more in the California than it did in the 360. I guess it all goes to show that people still like cool cars and that the environazis have not yet convinced most people that a smart-for-2 is the car that people should desire.
