after re-reading, the head studs are out for replating, so reaming must have been prior to head removal...sorry J, my bad, your question stands...

    Great question
-not all rebuilds are the same. Our engines are track proven and in the past 22 years non have failed.
    - the reamer is the same size as the cam journal
-as the engine wears out and heat cycles the saddles twist and pinch the cams. when you start reaming the saddles it requires extreme strenghth. When completed it turns with little effort.

Rock,my 12 year old data entry daughter, while looking at the interior pics with me, says that its a rough looking Ferrari. I don't know if I should bring my friend Roberto next weekend to look at the car or wait until it's been completed?

Rocco Stop by with Roberto for an espresso, the best time to look at a car is naked.

I'm glad your getting good use out of that block. It was the only spare drysump block that I ever ran across. If there is any "spare" drysump engines with gearbox available please pm me.

Rock I think it's possible to make a drysump block from a wetsump ? The block needs to have the boss on the side for the scavenge exit . Then there is a gallery that needs to be drilled from the oilfilter housing face down to a main gallery ( quite a tricky setup ) , but I'm sure you know this .

You mean I get "points off' for smashing that standing seam flat over speed bumps and caving the rocker in on tight curbs??????

    Rats......:(

What happens Rock, is that when alone the latches won't stay unlatched at the hatch...

I routinely jam an audio cassette or an Altoids box under the handle to hold tension on the unlatching cable.

If the door gets pushed closed with the latch handle in the 'out' position like that, it breaks the flange lip off the cup, as shown in your photo.
If you slam it shut it will bend the steel off the door reveal itself!!!

Verell does a nice job of replicating the broken plastic cup insert....

That's great about the KmH speedo, there is a dual scale one that shows both MPH/kmH.....

On a low miles car the fuel pump has not failed to overamp and melt that base....:D :D :D

New OEM blocks do seem to have a better spring pressure on the fuse.
    "Slightly improved"......maybe.

Big tex, I see you have some 308 experience. Nice crisp rocker panels are like a freshly ironed shirt.
