I really think a big FOCS/PCS show and shine gathering stretching out to the older cars would be an event I would actually attend.

I don't bother with any of the PCS events other than the track days currently as I am dead bored looking at water cooled Porsches. I would be far more interested to look at some of the air cooled cars, and see Ferrari's pre 2000 for example.

The more these cars are restored to original, the more I want to see them. These are the cars that I grew up looking at posters of or dreaming about. I kust bought Nick Mason's latest edition of his book Into the Red.... man..... to live through his eyes...

I'm anal to the point of changing my F-50 steering wheel which looks good actually, back to the ugly original airbag version which is correct for the car. All the time I sit in there staring at that F-50 wheel thinking to myself something just ain't right. But now it feels right :D.

To clarify Welson it was not a "convoy" it was just a group of 100 friends who happen to be in 50 ferraris going for dinner at the same time :D :D

Bro, not that bad. Japan is one of the largest collector ground still & Bangkok holds some of these & pehaps Philippines too but KL does have their fair bit of gatherings & shows too. They used to have a line up of classic cars in front of the old Supreme court during Sepang F1 week.

I believe there is a good amount of audience for nice classics here with half of them unable to own one & these are the people who are more enthusiastic about it.

haha, was even thinking of writing to them for franchise since I'm a biker @ heart as well but might as well set up one with my own brand name. Any investors? (*_*)

    That's a good start or Kallang/Changi Expo.

    That's nice.

That's strange. Considering the no. of air cools running around. I still remembered when I attended the 997Mk1 Turbo launch @ Victoria Theatre, they had all the old 911 turbos lined up outside. The white flatnose was the one that caught my attention! Dr Billy's I suppose?

have any of you guys seen this publication? not to scoff at local publications but somehow the uk edition seems more interesting. there was an article on the noble, seemed like they were doing a bit of a hardsell for the car tho.

UK is indeed better and cheaper too! I always get my car porn mags in UK esp Classic & Sports Car. Got the year end edition with the Countach LP400,QV and 25th anniversary driven side by side.

BTW are you still keen on that Noble? Reckon it should be reliable with a Ford engine and not expensive to fix except for body parts? Performance should be sufficent? But I suppose reselling would be another problem.

Yes... but not a FOCS event... its an Ital Auto event.
They will invite: new car owners, depositors, good workshop customers i.e. Derek, and Friends of Ital Auto.
I have seen the menu.. pretty awesome!

    You back in Singapore?
