i been driving my OTO 612 lately, despite the goodness of my 458, Scud badness, brutal 599, or the utilitarian 430s, i always love the 612 the most.

I dont know if its the elegant yet beautiful lines or the serene feeling when driving it, but IT IS still my favorite fcar to drive around. Its got the best stereo, low profile looks, the all leather interior, much better built quality then 599 or 430s, and majestic pose, yet its a bada$$ mofo when u wanna go juvenile.

its been months since i need to make space for the incoming 458. The 458 arrived and still im driving the 612 around, cant seem to let it go, but recently i have several offerings, maybe i need to think about it more, since the new 612 is coming.

i didnt got to the factory invite to see the new one, but i seen all the pictures and ****, it is really a HUGE disappointment to me so far. I Hate the cali like interior and the sports back everybody's been talking about, im sure it will have great performance, but i dont think it can surpass the current one's beauty.

i wish that next time when i come on here, i would still have my 612, but here are some pics from the day of delivery, i couldnt believe i actually brought home a 612!!!!
Its only been a year and a half since new but i have lots of great memories in it! Thanks to all who share my great passion with this car.

Trust me you are not alone!! I fall in love with my 612 every time i drive it. One of the best cars on the planet. Its really not an attention grabber like a 599 or a 458 but, for those who drive it and who own it...they know how special it is.

I keep asking myself if the grass is greener on the other side. Should I buy a 458 or 599?

But then I hop in the 612 and it's got everything I need. My only issue is that I keep putting on the miles.......but hell, that's what it's there for.

Keep driving! Best feeling in the world! I also suspect with all the new tech comming in the newer cars...the gearbox on the current 612 and the 599 will be really missed. you will miss that kick in the back...although the new cars are gonna be amazing...you will still miss the slight sloppy change and the drama of it all.

MJ, I guess one has to be older in order to understand the position and style of the 612. My personal love with Ferrari has always been with the V12's. Although I like the 612 personally I'd always go for the 599 mainly because I think the design is a bit more daring than the 612 is, which is of course my personal preference.

I hope the "new" 612 is a bit more extreme than the current 612. I think the current 612 is a bit too tame, poised and civilized.

Interesting, I like the 612 because it's the least Ferrari looking Ferrari.......if that makes any sense. You get all the benefits, without the pomp.

Your primary thought is I want a Ferrari yet not a Ferrari that everyone will notice, then the 612 is the perfect Ferrari to suit your liking. It's a fine GT-car which you can make more extreme, like Bronzage did, with the OtO-styling options. Guess you're in the same league of the 400/400i/412/456GT (M).

Not against the OTO styling options by any means......it's still relatively understated versus the rest of the stable.

It's not just a "fine GT-car"-- in my opinion, it's the best GT car in the world!

And I say that in all seriousness.

I sold my 612 and got a California. After almost 5,000 miles in six months, I miss the 612. It simply has no equal. The California might have the latest technology, but it's no match for the combination of elegance, quality and performance of a 612.

This is a great thread.......it's stopping me make costly mistakes that I know I'd regret.........but the call of a new/different Fcar is sometimes bordering on irresistable.

I'll just repeat the mantra............"don't look into the sun"..........

Having owned pretty much all the Aston range, old and new.......the 612 is the car James Bond should really be driving. It's a gentleman's automobile.
