This year the FCA annual will be in Savannah, Ga. I have never been there. Anyone planning on attending?

Last year event in NJ wasn't a great success in terms of cars. Im hoping the weather in June will be more friendly.

I will be a local in Savannah when this happens. I am very excited about that. So, if you (or anyone else) is going to be there let me know. There is a thread I started in silver about it a while back. Depending on interest, and my work schedule, I would like to plan an FChat evening or something...

    Hi Patrick,

If work permits my father and I should be there. I hope attendance will be higher than last year (should be). Will be great to meet in person!!

It's a great town, a pleasant part of the country and some very nice folks! Plus, the track ain't bad, either.

I'm actually moving to Savannah as well! But not until August or so. Too bad the FCA annual meet isnt until later in the year!

Having raced at Hutchinson Island, it's an okay track. FAR better than Roebling, and if you haven't driven it, it's worthwhile. No elevation changes. A pretty decent lay-out. Infrastructure is lacking. Whether they'll have more infrastructure done by this summer, I don't know.

That said, June in Savannah? Bring. Portable. A/C units.

    NOT. KIDDING.

Whoa. The Porsche Club of America meets in Savannah this year too. Early July I believe.

The event is being set up by Bob Snow, Marc McConnell, and David Scott, amongst others. With those guys at the helm, it is sure to be an outstanding event. The NJ event was disappointing. Savannah will be quite fun.
    See ya there.

I live here. I may or may not be there depending on summer research. Oh, and btw, dress lightly. If the event will be held in June and outside, I can assure you you will not be enjoying the weather...

The only thing im worried about is that the theme for this year is the Challenge Race cars. Not too exciting unless it's an actual challenge race or you are driving.

That doesn't sound too bad to me considering I see a Ferrari about once every 6 months unless I go to my mom's office (Ferrari repair shop right down the street:)). I just hope they have an Enzo or F40; never seen either of the two...

I think we may be bringing the 500 Mondial, but just for display and for track time.
