I came up with it in response to another post about sharing the Ferrari passion with the family. I had a vision of kids with ice cream cones getting in the car and an owners manual that describes the proper way to remove colored marker from the upholstery. That's not what I enjoy about owning a Ferrari.

Kids shouldn't go near a Ferrari unless by supervised invitation, now they'll be clamoring for the middle seat for the best view of the horsey on the steering wheel. I personally enjoy the alone time or a quiet passenger as I'm communicating with the car, but then again, I'm getting old and I'm open to the idea that I'm wrong. Just seems that the driver's seat of a Ferrari is the last bastion of individual statement and freedom from life's work, now it's transportation. I'm going to stop commenting on this car now.

Is it that or is it just that consumers have more and better choices today than at any other time in history when it comes to where and how they spend their money.

    I saw a brown Panamara today. Looked just like a ____ .

Comparing to a Panamara is never going to be flattering.

Seriously this is the ugliest Ferrari by a long shot. I can't believe they created this total crap. They have lost the plot completely. Sad.

550, 360 were a bit boring but still elegant. Cali is pretty except from behind. 612 is bloated but still has style. FF is just ugly. No two ways about it. As was the Beemer it copied.

Maybe Napolis can fix it with a new body.

They found that they can sell T-Shirts off of the cachet' now they're raising the stakes. ;)
While that's an exaggeration there's some truth to it.

Infections always start small but if not checked they destroy the host. Is this the beginning?

Look, for what it is it's a great car ( SUV ).

Sir,I have met a Ferrari, and Sir, this is no Ferrari.

Do we pay 350k to drive to the mall for the endless sales?

How do we explain this car to our loved ones and friends, not to mention the 11 year old or the banker.

Finally, if we coughed up 350k for one of these things would we still be able to legally purchase a hand gun? Not that we would need it to ward off thieves.

I have mixed emotions on the car. Not being an owner, the style is important to me since that's usually what I get to enjoy. I like the side profile, and the rear is not horrible, just not sure if it evokes ferrari... The wheels don't help, very similar to the m coupe. But I don't understand the front. It's like they tried to blend a 458 and 599. Ferrari seems to be moving away from the sleek, sexy styling of the past. Which is what I always liked about them, maybe it's like a 458, didn't care much for it in the pictures, but in person is awesome.

Ohh wow... that is exactly what I meant when I said it. You are right. The majority of Daytonas are derelict from neglect and no one has ever spent a penny on them. When they are at the auction they are just a bunch of rusted pieces of trash...

Ohh wait... thats not what I said or implied at all...

The car has 40 year old engineering... It wasn't hot weather tested in death valley like they are now... it wasn't tested in 120 degree heat climbing a mountain with the A/C making sure it doesn't overheat while following a car or truck up a mountain.

There is alot more to it than just being restored. Just because the damn thing is restored doesn't mean it is a new car. it just means it is usually as terrible as it was when it left the factory. I have dealt with and built many many vintage cars. you can choose to upgrade along the way to alleviate the short comings or you can leave it original... however, there isn't a SINGLE car built before 1972 that will far as well as a brand new car (pick one... anyone) on a journey like that. And that is my point.

Hell look at the video of the FF where ferrari is showing how much all weather testing they have done. They are trying to build a well rounded car built for and functional in any environment.

It really does not matter what it looks like. Many ******* will by anything Ferrari make ... they could make a version of a Lada and put the Ferrari badge on it and charge $300,000 and it would sell well.

That is the problem ... and in the end a 4 seater Ferrari has to be practical (as they have always been) and a station wagon is the way to go, and they have designed a pretty exciting looking station wagon, atleast from the rear.

Have some of you guys driven this thing ? We are all assuming it does handle well in the wet - snow etc.
Chances are ferrari's description of its capabilities are correct ------ what if it's lagging behind the competitors ?

What will Jeremy Clarkson say about this thing ?? I sense some acidic remarks being penned right now !

I must admit, that part of the FF is impressive.

I think the thing that ruins the FF for me more than anything else is the bottom edge of the rear window being arched upwards at an angle. I think if that was straight at the back then the whole car might look a bit better, although there are still some weird body lines in other places too. I don't actually have a problem with the overall shape, it's just the weird styling touches they put all over it.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    Something Honda mastered long ago.

...Ferrari used to make soul-stirring sports and GT cars, now they're chasing Lexus' tail.

I don't like the FF (and while a nice car, I don't like the California as a ferrari). If ferrari brings out a "green" car I won't like it. If Ferrari does an IPO spinoff, expect more of the same bad direction, as then investors will be doing cost/benefit analysis to maximize profit- in short more "volume" cars (i.e. porsche cayenne, panorama, etc). While Ferrari will remain a premium brand, it's brand will be diluted in my mind by these sorts of vehicles (and if an IPO happens, especially so- I think ferrari can remain "special" and "the pride of Italy" as a small unit of Fiat- on it's own the investor's motive will be purely profit).

Hopefully the used car market retains enough clean 360s/430s/550/575/599s/458s, you know cars from the hayday before catering to fashionable greenies and investors in ferrari specifically vs. fiat as a whole.

This is all just my opinion of course...and ferrari doesn't care about someone like me as I typically never buy new cars anyway. Being as I'm in my late 30's I guess I'm getting old and set in my ways...
