Opinion on the Citation III ?

Does anyone operate or have experience with a Citation III or any 650 series citations?

I want to know what do you think about it.

 

What is the mission?

I've never operated one, although I looked at that class of aircraft pretty closely for a friend of mine a few years back.

Depending on what you want to do and how much you want to spend, I'd look at the Hawker 800, in that class of aircraft.

 

I have flown several, great aircraft, but there are tremendous improvements in the 6 and 7''s. But the 3 is a great "bang for the buck" There are some low airframe time aircraft for sale on Controller.

Thanks for your input, I was looking at a 7 but for the routes I usually fly and for 1/3 of the price Im beginning to consider a 3 instead, there are some very well equipped full EFIS 3 for great prices.
Do you think the difference in price justifies a 7?

 

Considering the cash tied up, I would take a 3 in an instant. Range, performance and gross weight are similar, not enough to justify a 7, unless you can afford it.

I was on a deal for a 7 but I started evaluating my needs and I got offered a heavily equipped 3 and thought with the difference I could buy a Miura SV an F40 and a 288GTO
