For me, to the contrary: I've been pretty lukewarm about new Ferraris since the Stradale.

I was shocked when I saw the FF. But as I watched the video for the 3rd or 4th time I was pretty curious about this car. I'm in a younger demographic, and got hooked on WRC watching it on TV in Germany from teenage summers there. My first new car was a WRX - I posted here and lurked on NASIOC. I like the import scene and especially the 'rally' oriented cars. After the need to fit child seats forced a change in cars, we moved up to "Subaru for grown ups" --> Audi. I'm not in the buying demographic yet, but aside from the obvious financial barrier if I was looking for the ultimate daily driver this would be a consideration.

This will appeal more to the crowd that grew up with Asian imports, 'hot hatches' and 'tuner' cars. And like BDelp has mentioned, they might sell most of the year's production in Asia alone.

The "ultimate daily driver" is definitely what I see in this car. I too had the visions of WRC style fun, but in a Ferrari! To me that is pure bliss, I love F1 but there is something about the WRC that is cool in a different way. This car will not only be able to supply that kind of fun but it will also be uber quick in the dry and also be able to take the family on vacation. I think that's the point people are missing, a lot don't want their Ferrari to be able to do multiple things. The FF to me is an ultimate expression of what a car can be

    Now I get it.
The FF is to be entered in the WRC driven by Kimi.
Now it all makes perfect sense.

If they make a 2.0L Turbo version, you know what's coming!

Is it 1982 all over again?

Don't forget that WRC participation led to the greatest Ferrari in the history of the universe.

    I couldn't say. 1975 through 90 is a bit of a blur to me :D

They greasy and silvers seem to look nice. The shields are a distraction. They look better on shorter wheelbase cars.

It looks to me that no one took them into consideration when designing the car.

I have a hard time believing Enzo's prancing pony beats the golden arches in image recognition.

I think the designers certainly do. I see it as more of a Italian pride thing. LDM prob would not let the car go without.

You'd assume so but it looks like someone put the kit together and then found an "extra" piece left in the box. ;)

IMHO the 612, 599, Cali, all look better without shields. With the complexity of the designs they are a distraction and they really hurt the 612s lines and seem to elongate it.

You won't see the golden arches that much in Asia, South America, Africa and emerging markets. But, almost everyone knows what a Ferrari is.

    I'm think I'm being diplomatic.

The psychology that brings some to lock-step conformity is rather an ugly thing.

Shhhhhhh! This is Fchat. We hate everything. Don't you know that?

You're going to upset the Fchat style police if you keep saying such heresy.

I can certainly agree with your last statement, but as much as I'd like to say anything has the DNA of the GTO, I just can't bring myself to it. :(

You don't by any chance attend the C&C at Bridgeport, do you?

I am so in LOVE with that car!!! Finally something I can bring my Dog with and start thinking about kids ;-)

It's basically the replacement for my beloved M-Coupé with more space, more power and more mojo...

I am also quite sure it would look fantastico next to my 550.... yeeehaaa.
