There has been some recent activity concerning production numbers of RHD 5-speed 400/400i/412 GT's.

Would it be interesting to see how many of these cars survive?

My particular interest is the 412 but can we post chassis numbers of each model we know of to try and see just how rare these cars now are?

I've noted details of RHD 5 speed 412's and so far have only 'found' 5:

61431 in Blu Medio (light blue) with light beige interior based in Tasmania
64367 in Marrone with magnolia interior, based in the UK - recently sold to new owner
64979 in black with blue interior, based in Australia
73005 in black with blue interior, based in UK
81235 in red with magnolia interior, based in UK - currently for sale at Foskers

Anybody out there know of others? RHD/5-speed only please!

Interesting thread, the FOC GB is probably a good place to start for this info.

That's unusual in white, a shame its not looked after. Is it RHD and a GT (5-speed)?

No it doesn't. The UK Data Protection act covers people's personal information. Not cars. I look after the FOC's Register of cars. I'll send you some information a bit later on when I have time.

Thanks Jonathan that would be great. I have asked FOC via email previously for info on 328's too and received the reply below: I understand personal info shouldnt be released but the reply does state that chassis numbers can't be divulged either which is the interesting bit!

    The reply from FOC...

That's just the view of one person rather than anything to do with Data Protection. I spoke to the Data Protection helpline some while ago to clarify exactly what it meant in relation to the information the Ferrari Owners' Club hold. There is a whole lot of rubbish talked about Data Protection... but I'm getting rather off topic. Having said that, I wouldn't be prepared to provide information on 100s of cars for a register and nor would it be right to give out information provided by members without their approval (regardless of the extent of what is covered by the Data Protection Act). Besides, anyone wanting to maintain a register has to do some work for themselves:) Always happy to validate where possible though.

Assuming you are an FOC member you can buy a copy of the last printed edition of the FOC Register of cars from the Club Office. I think it £15 or £20.

Cheers Jonathan, thats very helpful, yes I'm a member of FOC so I'll buy the register (I didn't know there was one available).

From a selfish point of view I would be most interested in surviving RHD 412 GT's so it should be a pretty short list! I know of the five mentioned above but it would be interesting to know if the club is aware of any more. Let me know if that info is easy enough for you to lay your hands on - but I don't want to put you out!

    Thanks again,

    David

Dark blue 1984 400i, 5 spd, RHD, listed for sale in the classifieds section of the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain. Listed in the section "Other Tipos". Go to this web page & scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to see this car:

    http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/sales/sales.asp

    No chassis number listed unfortunately.

Surprisingly, the ad says that this car has approximately 100,000 miles! I think that is the most I've seen for one of these cars. At least we know it gets driven! :)
