    Horacio Pagani visited a client recently and was able to drive his simulator.

    His quote:

    Fantastico!
    Questo e' il migliore simulatore che io abbia mai provato. E'
    perfettamente progettato e misura con accuratezza il comportamento di
    Zonda e specialmente il frenaggio!!

    Translation:

    FANTASTICO!!! this is the best simulator I have ever tried. It is
    beautifully designed and measures accurately the zonda's
    behaviour especially the braking!!!


    The client reported that he had to respectfully "pry" him from the simulator!

    If you notice, this is even an older, pre-production prototype :)

    Wow. You can't get a better compliment, IMO. Pagani did the impossible coming into the game so late and building a supercar that rivals or exceeds the others. Kudos and congratulations to you, Chris.

    It was truly and honor to receive such a compliment from an automotive luminary. To have the guy who brought us the Zonda compliment my work really is amazing.

    I'll keep you posted if we can work out a deal and put one in the factory :)

    Looks like he's driving his own car in NFS:Shift there. :)

    ps: I made modification to the driver AI in the PC version of NFS: Shift that's compatible with the latest patched version on Steam. PM me if anyone wants the small file. Drivers no longer drive like complete muppets.

    No, Grand Turismo is a console game. The simulator is PC based.

    You may be surprised to find out that the simulations on PC's are far more advanced than their console counterparts. PC's have greater power that leads to better graphics, physics engines and freedom to innovate on a more open platform.

    Don't get me wrong though. I still enjoy GT5.


    I actually never got to meet him :(. It was a client's simulator. He took the pictures and wrote down the quote. I hope we get to meet soon though!

    Are the physics of NFS Shift better on the PC than on consoles? They are a joke on the PS3.

    I have never used any pc sims, only gran turismo. Can you recommend 2 or 3 to start with?

    There are many "mods" that can be applied to make everything from the graphics to the physics better. That being said, it's not a true racing simulator. But it sure is fun!

    I'm surprised those games all have data that can be interpreted by a hydraulic system. Big kudos. Have to put that on the website.

    Ha! I'm rarely accused of that! :)


    Yeah, it takes a lot of work to get all the telemetry out of so many racing titles. Most of the time it requires us working directly with the developers of these games or simulations.

    I really think giving our customers a very wide range of content to choose from is key though. You should never run out of cars or tracks to drive in a CXC Simulator!

    It should be up on the site this week :)
