    what is the best way to get to the battery in an 04 gallardo.some people have told me to pull the right front wheel off.some say just remove the trunk carpet.

    You have to remove the trunk. 4 screws and the weatherstripping hold it in. There also is a connector to the trunk light that you will have to remove as you start to pull the trunk out.

    Who ever said take off the wheel has no idea about swapping the battery.

    That's correct.

    The guy that advised you was think of Murcielago. Gallardo is a lot easier. Make sure you have a radio code before you disconnect the battery. This is also a good time to install a battery tender if you don't already have one.
