Ok other than emails containing washed out, blurry cell phone pictures, has anyone been contacted by a Fiat Studio regarding the actually purchasing of their Prima Edizione? I haven't heard a peep. I'm not even sure what my "local" dealer would be (Salt Lake/Portland/Seattle?)!
Not yet, but I've been doing business with Italians for a while now, have a coffee and don't worry about it...
available in Germany now... how long do yoy think it's take to get here once the 500 is widely distributed here? Somehow this is plain wrong.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Heads up for people with Android phones, there is now a Fiat 500 Android app. I just downloaded and it's pretty neat. Has the owner's manual, links to Mopar and the Fiat store, maintenance info, etc on it. http://fiat500usa.blogspot.com/2011/02/download-fiat-500-vehicle-app-today.html
Here is a quote from a review that addresses this: "In fact, that was the response anywhere we stopped on our day-long drive. The car attracted a lot of interest when it was parked and thumbs-up signals while we zipped along the highway. It seems this Cinquecento strikes the same emotional cord as the original. As one onlooker said, 'Its so cute you just want to hug it.' " Read more: http://www.canada.com/cars/First+drive+2012+Fiat/4212727/story.html#ixzz1CuiYbq2t
true, like i said, i believe the NA market will find it a 'cute' car...i just mean that the 500 retro roots (from the original) will be lost to most of those buyers, is all......as opposed to europe where it's lineage is recognizable to the common buyer...because the original was & is seen, and familiar to them....that's all i meant
Has anyone noticed that there are a few ads for the Fiat 500 floating around on FerrariChat? I think that is way cool and a very good sign. Jeff Dallas, Texas 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 LS 1977 Fiat 124 spider
No national ads Without its full dealer network on board or a big marketing budget, Fiat initially will rely on Internet and event marketing to spread the word on the 500. "TV is an expensive proposition," Soave says. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-20030077-48.html
Yeah, have to sign our sales agreement with Fiat no later than December 31, 2010. Deliveries should start end of January or early February. Oh wait.
