Hello all, I've been lurking and reading for a while now: this forum is LOADED with information! Without all the great info about maintenance and service, parts availability, etc., I'm not sure that I'd have the confidence to own an exotic car. Fun cars I've had since the 1960's (yep, I'm that old!): Porsche Speedster, Porsche 912, Datsun 510 & 240Z. Currently I have a Factory Five Cobra I built in 2001, fun on the track but not really fun on the street; I need a more civilized car, and I've always wanted a Ferrari... So now I'm in the market for a nice 328, and planning to keep it a very long time. Cheers, Forrest
I'm sure that he'll have a great time with it, and building it is half the fun! I've really had fun with mine. Mine's a 302 with a centrifugal supercharger. I'm kind of a road-course guy, so I have spent some time on the suspension (IRS) and it handles pretty well, with Konis, swaybars, etc. I used to autocross it, then sort of transitioned to open track. It really is a blast on the track! But I must be getting old: the noise, wind, and sun used to be fun, but it sort of wears on me now on the street. Forrest
OK, I'm now the proud owner of 1988 328 GTS #075550! Rosso corsa/negro. I love this car! It's due for timing belts, which I'm going to undertake myself, so we'll soon be getting to know each other real well... Forrest
