    Don't sweat it.

If I were you I'd be more worried why you find the FF attractive. :p

    OMG! Is that true?

I totally love the Caymans' looks (much more than a 911), it is everything a sportscar should be and I completely despise the Panamera as one of the ugliest cars ever.

What has this world come to?

Hmmm, but lets face it if you are into Porsches you would only buy a Cayman because you can't afford a real Porsche, ie. a 911.

Depends on what you want. I really don't like the looks of today's 911 and I love the Caymans looks. If you're after hp then it is the 911.

911 of the eighties is a different story.

The total of 88 Caymans sold stat is accurate for a recent month - I forget whether it was Nov or Dec. That was reported in the latest issue of Panorama. The Boxster handily outsells the Cayman, and the 997 outsells them both. Cayenne is tops, with Panamera in second.

I agree with you about the Panamera and wish I could report numbers that were less catastrophic for sports car fans.

At least 612 owners can rest assured that their cars will appreciate in value...

Pete, Pete, Pete, you've been hanging around way too many sheep! (I'm a poet, and I don't even know it.) Trust me on this one, the Cayman is the best Porsche ever made, except for maybe the TT, GT3, and GT2. For $50k (USD), it is way more fun than the law allows.

Tru dat, but I wonder why? The reality is the Cayman is a real sports car. It will beat you to death as a daily driver, but when things get interesting, man, oh, man. The plain jane 997 is a LUXURY sports car. Don't misunderstand, I'd love to have one, but... if you want to get back to the basics of love, you don't need to go to Luckenbach, Texas.

    Dale

PS Now, if Porsche would drop a turbo into a Cayman...

BMW Z3M coupe + Ferrari California + Honda CRZ = FF

That's just my opinion, but if I was still offered one for free, I'd take it, and if and when I see one on the street or in a dealer, I will still treat it with the same respect I give any other ferrari.
The FF should stand for something more exciting like "Forza Fiorano" and not "Ferrari Four"

I can almost hear Jeremy Clarkson now... "If you want a 4-seater ferrari, buy a 612 Scaglietti... or a Maserati Quattroporte."

Oh, and about the new Ferrari?

Frankly, I don't think Ferrari gives a hoot what I think. I have only brought one new Ferrari in my life. It was a 2004 Challenge Stradale. I wish I had never sold. But after about six months, I got paranoid and sold it for what I paid. Damn, damn, damn. I don't have many regrets in life, but that is one of them.

But, it is unlikely I'll ever buy another new un again. In fact, I sorta have my eye on 599 prices. If they go under $200k for a good, known car, unfrickin believable. I mean, come on, there are folks that pay that much for a Mercedes!

The 911 is a 2+2 ... end of story. I ride past or along with one every now and then and the guy is taking his kids to school in a turbo. Can't do that in your Cayman.

That is the thing with Porsches, you buy a massive degree of practicality, otherwise you buy something else IMO.

Anyway, I'm unsubscribing because I really could not give a pubic hair on what the new Ferrari looks and performs like because:
    1. There are very few modern Ferraris I would ever want to own as they are ugly, PlayStation type cars,
    2. They are unnecessarily focused on top speed where 160mph is enough (this FF is apparently good for 208mph ... why?, who cares?),
    3. They are unnecessarily focused on gimicks that have no place on the road, ie. carbon brakes and paddle shift (try explaining to a traffic cop why faster changes and having your hands on the steering wheel during 10/10ths cornering is so important),
    4. They have way too many computers reducing how good the driver needs to be. A Ferrari should require the very best driver so you feel some acomplishment when you get it right.

Here's a post from ISUK, on rennteam dot com (i think he posts here too). I think he owns at least 3 Ferraris and he got the chance to see the FF.. IN REAL LIFE. Lots of interesting stuffs.

a rear short spoiler would look nice.
probably a vented bonnet like the GTO would add more muscle.
    anyone can photoshop?

I saw the FF as well, I'd agree with him. I think I posted somewhere on this forum about the backseats as well, I was impressed. Honestly there's more room back there than on a Rapide... and that's a sedan!

    You're such a troll :p

We get it, you don't like it.

Just a question though. You hate it because of the hatchback or you just don't like the execution?

I don't think a Ferrari should have a hatchback. But that's not the reason I can't stand this car. I simply find it ugly. Front, rear and side. Just ugly. And not just ugly for a Ferrari but ugly period. I can't believe Ferrari approved this design for production.

Andreas hold off judgement on the front at least til you see it in person. The rear I can see but the front I think is spectacular.
