but I'm wondering if there's an adequate replacement for this thing on my Android phone. I don't fly these days (no real need or time), and it just sits in my flight bag unused. Did a few searches and it looks like there may be a few GPS apps but there isn't much info...does anyone use a smartphone app to navigate? I don't want to sell this and then turn right around and have to buy another one. RMX
I got a copy of Garmin Streetmaps, and now I use my 296 in the car most of the time. The airplanes I fly all (but one) have Garmin 430/530s in them, making the 296 redundant. It's a fine street navigator, though.
