Is the below the correct F1 pump for a 99 360? I am thinking of going ahead and replacing mine currently as it is beginning to prime a little longer than previously (not much). I have had no problems but have read where when it starts to prime longer, it is nearing the end of its life.

Are there any other signs I should be aware of with a failing pump?

Is the below the correct pump or is there a newer and better built one? I will replace the relay as well--anything else I should be concerned with?

    Thanks for the help!

    That is the correct pump.

I'm about to post a coupon code on the General Forum for a weekend incentive :)

How else are the signs when the F1 pump is failing?

There are sure signs and consequences of a failing F1 pump electric motor:
    1) longer priming
    2) the F1 fuse blows frequently
    3) gears wont shage or slip to "N" after 20-40 min of driving
    4) you are stranded on the highway with transmission stuck in a certain gear and the red F1 transmission sign is constantly on...
    5) the police car or trooper car with blinkers has stopped next to your Ferrari asking questions what happened?
    6) you are arguing with a flat-bed truck driver that it is not adviseable to pull the car by the winch when the transmission is stuck in gear, as it may ruin it...
    7) another truck is dispatched that has a rear wheel dolly system, using which they will be able to pul the car onto a flat bed
    8) you pay $800 to the flat bed driver to get you to the Ferrari dealer's shop.
    9) you pay the dealer at least $4000 for a new pump and labour (including purging the hydraulic lines, and all other stuff that they will force you to agree to pay for)...
    10) you start a new thread "Is Ferrari 360 6-speed manual better than F1 ???" :-D :-D :-D

To avoid all of that and to get some understanding of what you are dealing with, read my previous thread describing the reasons for the F1 pump electric motor failure:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...+sensor&page=2

Here is my previous thread describing the F1 pump relay issues:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...relay+pictures

You should replace both, the F1 pump and relay as well. Alternatively, you should replace electric motor on the F1 pump, which is the most cost-effective measure (+ get a new relay).

There is a new model F1 pump and relay listed in FerrariAds section:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbc...?do=ad&id=4667
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbc...?do=ad&id=5771

or you can purchase the F1 pump from RicambiAmerica for $800:

To lower the temperature of the F1 pump electric motor, you need to install this radiator kit, which is also sold by RicambiAmerica:

Here is the description and pictures of new model of electric motor for the F1 pump:

Wow Juri, I hope you didn't have to go through all that.

For some reason, the links come up as broken when clicked on?

I'm using Google Chrome web browser if it makes a difference at all.

    Thank you.

You know, I actually did go through all of that... Once I had encountered these problems, I decided to find my own solutions for the F1 hydraulics problems, which one can not find in any oworkshop / repair manuals...
It is strange that the links are broken... I tried those and indeed the links to FerrariAds don't come up... Anyways, if you go into the FerrariAds section and search for "F1 pump" you will get both the new pump and relay ads.
    Links to RicambiAmerica should work.
    Cheers.

Looking to order a few things, is that offer still available. And if so, can anyone scan the code and tell me what it is for? I don't have an iphone or Droid. Thanks.
