A couple of you know that I've been thinking about one of these since I first saw the design model in Monterey in August. After spending considerable time thinking about it; (read that as "fighting back the urge as long as I could"), I finally stepped up and bought one of these.

I'm looking forward to its arrival, but happy to patiently wait for it since I know it's going to be a little way down the road before delivery.

Not only are the performance specs almost beyond comprehension for a "street" car; but this has to be the most beautifully designed car that I've ever seen.

Thanks Jonny... I felt silly being the first to post that question... now I don't feel so bad...

Damn... that makes three of us.

I pride myself on being an informed car guy. I get about 8 different car mags a month (twice a month in the case of AW) and I have absolutely no idea what that is. Admittedly, I did not make Monterey this year.

Whatever it is, it's gorgeous. Congratulations! The second to last picture looks like a space ship. You will turn every head. Hope you're ready for that and hope it lives (and drives) up to its looks!

    Cheers,

    Tad

    Wow. Congratulations.

    Very impressive and beautiful car.

I have family in the tri-cities, and next time I visit have been wanting to drop in on SSC.

    Hmmm ...

Must be quick enough to break the time barrier, since the SSC "Next Generation" hasn't yet been delivered to buyers.

Let's just hope it reclaims the record from Bugatti.

Interesting battle between a Giant and The Little Guys.

Best looking Exotic I think I ever saw. Loved it from the unvailing. What color are you getting and when do deliveries start? Looking forward to seeing it live.

    Yes, it's the new SSC.

Yes, production won't be until late 2012. I'm not in a hurry though, so that's fine.

I'm confident that they'll break Bugatti's new record, but to be honest; I wouldn't really care if they didn't. 1,350 hp in a car that weighs 2600 lbs, AND it has new aerodynamics that far exceed their previous model..... you do the math.

Yes, I like the idea of buying a new locally made, US manufactured car. I have several US manufactured cars, but they're all over 40 years old. This is the ONLY US made car built in the last 40 years that's even piqued my interest. It's about time that a US car company built something truly exciting.

And, I have to say that the lines of this car cause a definite emotional response in me.

I haven't chosen the color yet and won't until it's close to delivery time, but it will be something unique and interesting, at least to me.

I applaud the boys east of the mountains for their continuing efforts in automobile design and manufacture.

    What's "their story," anyone know?

BTW, the "nut sack" on the rear of the car adds a huge dose of character.

Congrats John! This is going to be something to behold - the white and black reminds of the first time I saw a Countach - compared to other cars of the day it looked like a spaceship but this car has truly beautiful lines.

I would love to see the smoke wind tunnel tests over the shape of this model. I like the setting of the pictures - Photoshopped into a hangar deck of an aircraft carrier.

I'm sure it'll be amazing and a rarity to see it out on the open road, most people won't know what it is but what matters is what represents to you.
i have no idea how you make your money but you must be doing something right and you must be very capable. I congratulate you for letting us see the wonders of human achievements in technology and beauty, to give a simple man a chance not too many give.
