    No, they do not fit.

Sadly, there appears to be no product development at Hyper Flow to produce or release a Scud cat.

But it seems SCUD Cats are a slightly different length than 430 Cats

I reused my cargraphic f430 sports cats on my scud with no issues at all. They fit fine. No issues.

I also reused my kreisseig exhaust manifolds with no issues. Just had to weld on an air-injection rail onto it to prevent a CEL. Otherwise, a straight forward fit.

My tubi titanium exhaust silencer arrives next week so we will see what it sounds like :)

So my exhaust system is gonna be : kreisseig + cargraphic + tubi ;) should be interesting.....

I don't think cargraphic makes fabspeed cats. The cargraphic ones look much more well made to me compared to a set of fabspeed cats I had on my 996 gt3.

They may use the same cores though as do a lot of tuners.

I might be wrong though. But no complaints about German build quality though.

Cargraphic offer indeed their own Cats which are much larger than the Fabspeed Cats. Just as Capristo, they don't need any lambda sensor extenders to avoid the CEL.

The first picture is the Cargraphic Cat
The second picture was taken by Lilleprins and shows above the Capristo Cat+Heat Glove, below the Fabspeed Cat.

    Hello Everyone,
This is Joe Fabiani at Fabspeed Motorsports USA.
A couple of points I would like to mention regarding our high performance Ferrari and exotic car sports racing catalytic converters:

Fabspeed Motorsport uses only HJS German Tri-metallic 200 cell sport catalytic converters. HJS makes the worlds best, super premium sports racing catalytic converter cores that have a special proven precious metal wash coat and substrate that is durable for road racing/track days, and long term driving.

Fabspeed offers 3 different products for the Ferrari F430/Scuderia in terms of replacement parts for the left and right side removable OEM Ferrari catalytic converters.

1: Fabspeed offers HJS sports racing 200 cell catalytic converters.
    2: Catbypass pipes/straight pipes.
3: Fabspeed manufacturers catbypass pipes/straight pipes BUT with mini-muffler resonators that "look like" small catalytic converters. This reduces sound levels and makes the car "look" like catalytic converters are installed. Customers in certain regions of the world request catbypass pipes with resonators.

Our HJS sports racing catalytic converters are premium parts and all exotic car enthusiasts should know or explore HJS Germany and their racing/street tuning long-term engineering approach and reputation. Basically HJS catalytic converters are the only catalytic converter "cores" what you should demand on your Ferrari and other exotic car.

This compares to "no name generic-unbranded" catalytic converters that often fail either in terms of wash coat or substrate break down. Is the catalytic converter of your 400HP+ car a cheaply made Asian or Domestic catalytic converter intended for a Ford Mondeo or Chevrolet Monte Carlo? HJS catalytic converters are brazed cores that are engraved by HJS Germany with certifications and part #s so you know you are getting the real goods. Fabspeed buys the HJS cores and then welds on endcones and CNC mandrel bends all the tubes to go with these HJS catalytic converters. There are no shortcuts taken at Fabspeed Motorsport USA.

Fabspeed Motorsport USA is HJS's largest NORTH AMERICAN buyer and importer of their catalytic converters. When you buy Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini sports race catalytic converters for your car, you are getting the worlds best part from Fabspeed.

Fabspeed also designed O2 spacers for catbypass pipes/straight pipes for customer who opt to delete the catalytic converters and not get a C.E.L.

In addition Fabspeed was the 1st company in the world to design and manufacture sports racing catalytic converters for Ferrari F430 and 458 Italia cars.

RichardCH: Our sports race catalytic converters are fabricated in-house in precision jigs, only the HJS cores are imported from Germany.

    HI Richard

When any Ferrari with aftermarket catalytic converters is driven hard the catalytic converters get hot. This is normal on these cars. When we have these cars on the chassis Dyno everything gets hot and red hot.

There is no need to wrap the catalytic converters or headers on these cars. In fact over wrapping exhaust parts will often and frequently make the internal metal pipes fatigue and crack and quicken failure. Ferrari OEM headers are failing because the metallurgy was very poor and in conjunction with the fiberglass matting and metal wrapping the headers are all failing apart just like is being seen on F360 and F430.

Fabspeed uses T304L USA stainless steel in all of our products and high stainless steel dramatically reduces heat loss over other steels. Fabspeed headers come simple to install heat shields that block radiant heat from the A/C compressor and Alternator on F355/F360 and F430 as required respectively.

I have examined many factory all out race cars from 355, 360 and recently the RISI Competizione F430 ALMS car and the headers on that car were a huge bundle of snakes and there was no heat shielding any where. When we make headers we never made them as big as RISI headers (looked like 2" pimary tubes). My point is that you can actually damage parts by over insulating. I will try to post a photo from the Performance Racing Industry PRI Trade show in Orlando that we went to in December.

I would like to invite anyone to go through thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294704 again as this topic as been largely discussed and many different opinions were given. Fabspeed has his own version about his cats (which are well too small in diameter) and about the fact that they don't need any heat insulation, which I very strongly disapprove (our cars are not race cars but street cars...). I hope Fabspeed has a good lawyer firm because if one day a F430 will burn to the ground or will be the source of a major accident, after what they wrote here on this forum, that no heat shields are needed and in other words, it's just fine to let > 800°C metal as close as 10 cm from the fuel tanks !!!! I've wrote it already so many times on this forum, this is SUICIDE on a street car and I want the readers to be aware of this.

BTW, HJS does not manufacture these cats, they just buy and resell them to Fabspeed. Cats sold by HJS are made by another German factory. This factory, which I can't name here, produces and provides most of the cats installed on our cars...

I find it interesting that you keep saying that our sport cats a well too small in diameter. Have you had a set of our cats that we use on the F430 in front of you to measure them?

In regards to the heat shields on the sport cats....what everyone that is running around in their street cars with either Stock cats or aftermarket without the shields?? regardless if you have the heatshields on the headers and cats, if an oil line or fuel line breaks and gets onto the muffler it has a very good chance of going up into flames. So what you are saying is it is SUICIDE for all the guys who have completely stock F430's as well?

I dont want to argue with you as you really support the Capristo company. Here are the facts and the facts do NOT support your alarmist theories about fires and damage in Ferrari cars.

The empirical data regarding heat transfer and Fabspeed's rigorous testing when designing, Dyno/track and street testing our Ferrari headers and our HJS sports racing catalytic converters show ABSOLUTELY no damage nor issues under any ambient temperatures. Fabspeed Motorsport USA has Ferrari customers enjoying their cars in areas from Saudi Arabia to Death Valley in summer months at 120+ degrees ambient temperature. No Fabspeed customers are having problems worldwide.

Furthermore, given public forums like these if Ferrari enthusiasts were experiencing issues people would SPEAK up. Given all the headers and aftermarket catalytic converters out there in the public worldwide and since there are NO complaints I respectfully submit that there are therefore NO problems.

Fabspeed buys HJS catalytic converters and doesn't cut corners. The HJS catalytic converters are sized correctly to the cars horsepower and ultimate power rating. Bigger catalytic converters will often NOT fit on certain cars and will loose power and torque when oversized. HJS german makes the finest catalytic cores and EVERY car enthusiast that purchases Sports Racing catalytic converters should look into what catalytic converter is being installed on their Ferrari, Lamborghini and exotic car.

I want to add that over insulating any metal header or any metal exhaust part including those made with exotic metals will cause metal fatigue and metal failure. The more insulation added to insulate the exhaust parts the faster the part will fail. I can supply pictures and independent empiracle data supporting these facts.

I would like to close by saying designing and engineering quality performance parts for cars is simply math and science. Dont be a fool into believing that because your car was originally manufactured in Italy or Germany that the best performance parts must AGAIN come from these countries!

Your cats mesure 105mm in diameter, while stock is 160mm. The stock cats is a 400-cell with 160mm diameter and has a surface of 200 sq. cm while yours have a surface of 85 sq. cm. Comparing roughly yours to stock, stock would have half of the surface which is then 100 sq. cm. With the stock cats you would have 15 sq. cm more flow than with the 105mm sport cat...Please correct me if I'm wrong and that your cats do have a larger diameter of 105mm...

Stock headers and cats are perfectly well insulated which isn't the case with yours. You know this very well. And oil or fuel lines are far away from the muffler which you know also very well (I hope so). So don't scare people because such leaks can't happen on a muffler with a stock car. But an oil or fuel leak on non-insulated headers or cats increases highly the risks as well as the proximity of the headers to the fuel tanks. Your offer neglects clearly and simply the basic security requirements. Maybe this is fine in the US but it isn't in Europe.

A forum is a open space where it's allowed to disagree, to warn readers and to give them both sides of the picture. Up to them to decide but they had at least the chance to obtain a maximum information before taking a decision.

I think this worked as you were using 430 manifolds with 430 cats. If you try and use 430 cats on a scud with oem manifolds they wont fit (so Ive been told).

U may be right 15hn. However, i think not much of a mod is required to make them fit, if at all mate.

They can't be that different apart from the way rear muffler routing / design because my cargraphic cats hooked up to the stock scud exhaust muffler connection pipes with no modification necessary.

    Cheers.

Looking at Europares it seems as though the cats and silencer are are actually exactly the same as the 430 with the SCUD havig different headers and end pipes. Anybody have a set of 430 Hyperflows to go for $1,000 ?

I believe the header to cat connection is different. Ask one of the guys at Fabspeed, they will know what the exact difference is, but I know they dont bolt up.
