I'm still trying to figure out if it's possible to open the door fully between cars. Has anyone tried the SLS yet? Heard it's impossible to close the doors for gals who can't quite reach it & there's an option to have a strap fitted to help you pull the gullwing door down.
How cow! Audi, you lucky man. The 1st one looks like a Jaguar SS100, potentially very expensive car! a 993GT2 Aston DB6 Volante? The open top with Kamm-tail look doesn't look as sexy as the coupe though. Mercedes S280SE well could be any other bigger engines but this is one of my fav. classic convertibles. That arched rear of that blue convertible is very interesting, maybe a Cobra? Lp640 Roadster but the race car in the foreground is probably more exciting. Hints of a GT40 & of course a Testarossa 512M Btw, since you visit London so often, why don't you just buy a great car & keep it over there?
Well done Jon. That 993 is a GT2 Evo model from the factory. Only 21 were made. As for that SS100, sad that my dad's friend used to have one but the wife sold it together with his DB6 for not too much $$ soon after he passed on. Should have kept it for the sons. DB6, yes the coupe is much much better looking. As for that Merc, it is indeed luxe on wheels. The convertible roof is very well padded and it is a lovely car. BTW are you going for this Sat's run? If yes, I'll bring the top cleaner alone together with your calendars/t-shirt/cash card, all ECC goodies.
Evo version of the Gt2!! That's extremely rare, don't ever remember any magazine that featured it in recent times. Harold & Fong should know more. Do you know how much the dealer is asking for on that? Oh my, about the widow, don't tell me that was in Singapore??!! Anyway, your dad is probably the only one that has ever worked & driven a Miura over here. Btw, have you scanned his photos digitally? Should create a blog for him Otherwise, please share them with me, I've been collecting photos of early transport & streets of Malaya. Just bought pre-war postcards of HMS Prince of Wales & Repulse. Maybe I should put them online. I'm back in KL so won't be able to join you guys for the drive but I can bring you boys for a run if anyone's adventurous
不不不,花花公子 还是负心郎呢!hahaha
shame .. Robert Kubica seriously hurt in a rally car crash .. looks like his F1 career could be over http://stats.cbc.ca/racing/story.asp?i=20110206131141530000101
yup agreed .. always thought he was a potential WDC in the right car .. & hoped that he would replace Massa should SF ever decide to replace him. wish him a speedy recovery
彼此彼此 now switching back to bbc: if need for speed (ps3) is anything to go by, that car/barge understeers so badly, you would be better off sailing the queen mary through a meandering longkang...
definitely nowhere close to a nimble car, but i thot as a fast family town cruiser and at less than 90k, this wld be good value for money 9/10ths of the time, some reviews i read were surprisingly quite positive- good american muscle option
straight-line sprints are about the only thing you could do with that barge. saw a normal 300c with 'bentley' conversion kit, yikes. it's precisely the price point (even for new cars) that attracts the weird segment just saying
if anyone is interested .. a friend has 2 tickets for Janet Jackson tonight .. block PA2 row 26. PM or SMS me if you're interested.
I saw her do a short gig last nite at RWS. Her songs do really rock! My generation. Her voice still in very good shape. Her body less so..hehe.. but kudos for her performance
Bros, someone just contacted me. He just bought a used 360 but it's not a rosy situation. F1 light showed up several times, sent it to agent who fixed it but then it happened again & shuts the car down on public road.....prior to that, it went into neutral & had to press the brake pedal several times to get into 1st gear to move along. Sounds like F1 transmission problem to me or even shutline sensors telling the car to shut down for safety. Same thing happened to a Murcielago E-gear & the M3 smg I had. (One reason why I prefer manual) Does anyone else have the same experience & the remedy? I told him to plug the car for a full diagnosis.
Yeah boy. How much is a typical clutch job for 360? Provided the actuators are fine & did anyone do the same work on their 430 so far? Gallardo used to be $7K but heard that it's gone to $11K now & my concern is newbies must learn how to drive such system properly or it'll be cooked within a couple of thousand kms again.
Give Ben a call (9856 7782). I did it for less than 3k on my CS last year. Also let your friend know that the clutch is never fully engaged when reversing so he'd want to minimise that.
