Anyone can offer recommendations of a reliable and reasonably priced workshop who can refurbish a 1980s Ferrari?
i dont think any 1 workshop can actually cover all aspects of the refurbiskment- engine/mechanical side - ben, bodywork/painting- ah lai/ah long, interior- francis at hap li leather. which model ferrari have u picked up?
Was thinking of doing the body -rust proof, repair and repaint, at the same time also engine and mechanical/electricals, since may have to drop the whole engine. Do you ahve any contact details or workshop addresses for me to bring down for a look-see and quote/estimate? Much appreciated.
Two independants that are generally reliable and good are: 1. Exquisite Marques. http://www.exquisitemarques.com/spore/locationmap.html. Look for Gary. 2. BK Garage. 4th flr Sin Min Autocare centre. Look for Ben. These guys will handle your engine/mech. If you want, they will also do a all-in-one for your body, dealing with other specialists. If you chose to undertake the latter yourself, you can but speak to them so as to co-ordinate. What rare 80's car is it that you have?
PM-ed you. Check out his ECC offer as well but not sure if he has the equipment to plug into your 430.
Sat 12 Feb 11, E22 run. 0630 so don't be late! 1. FFC 2. Douglas 3. Fongster 4. Hann 5. kopiokosong (subj to visa clearance) 6. vex, also pending visa 7. Derek K 8. Welbo (bringing AE car for this one!) 9. rabbit97 (can try but depends on work scheule) 10. Pengster355 (will car be ready???) 11. Spar (Cumming??) Ok boys, can you indicate whether you are cumming or not? There will be a Golf GTi (ECC member's son) and a 997 joining as well. Winston - You want to meet us at the same Shell Thomson at 0550? Roberto and Anne will be there so got seats. I am meeting them there to lead across 2nd link.
I'll be there but undecided on which car I'm bringing.. it's 0630 at the ESSO on the other side right?
Looks like I may have to stay out as Horse has low fuel pressure (still investigating but looks like I may have to change fuel pump). Enjoy and drive safe, will certainly try to join the next run Peng
Then calendars how? Want me to drop it off at Ben's shop? Can do that on Monday. Better that the fuel pump gave up locally rather than 100miles up north!
very true.. have you changed your fuel pump? thanks, please pass to wee hann as he suggested cheers Peng
