Awesome story man! Proves once again that it doesn't really matter where you are in life, the sight of a Countach can stop you in your tracks!

Jota, That picture was taken in the place I live in. In fact, I was in that garage two months ago. There is the particular collection of a man who also owns a Miura, GT 40 (In the photo), a DB4 Zagato, a 250 GTO, etc. An impressive collection.

Where did you find that picture?

Thanks. I found it. Very strange for me to see in this web photos from a place where I've been. The collection that man owns is incredible...

Correct Walter! And here he is doing the deed with the yellow LP400 registered 4300 GH 69.

By the way, I cant believe she is sitting with those heels on the engine cover. Although I would probably let my wife do it if she really wanted to :)

... and another of the same car? It appears to have had spacers added to the front wheels in this one. Any idea if Mr. Wolf added these or...

No the spacers were added after Wolf sold it. He would never mess with Dallara's setup!

BTW, the car you have posted, 1121002, is not the same car as the one I posted. The one I posted is 1120202 in its first darker blue livery. Note the round front wheel spates (that you can barely see).

I gotcha, thanks! I wasn't exactly sure they were the same car, and to be honest, I wasn't sure if the photo I posted was actually of 0202, due to the lack of the Gold pinstriping. I thought it might be a Wolf "tribute"...

Very nice picture, moreover as it's a french licence plate.
Do you have this magazine, does it include other shots ?
Any confirmation that this car is #040 as questionned earlier ? The ILR doesn't report any french life for this car.
Would be interested to know what happened to this french licensed Countach (Rhone/69 region).

I have the issue and this is the only shot for the Newton photo-shoot I think.

Your pic is of 1002, by then owned by an outfit called 'Auto Lorenz'. At this point the pin-striping was missing, front wheel spacers had been mounted, and later series Vitaloni mirrors had been mounted. You always have to remember these cars go through several 'guises' in their life.

For example 1038, which has been through several guises too, but is finally on the way to becoming how it was when it left the factory back in April 1979.

Helmut did 6 shots of the car within 2 days! He even tried to drive it -he was a car-nut!- but did not fit in it as he was too tall.

    Ciao!
