Commenting on Mark Webber's statement that Michael Schumacher's hot lap at Jerez was just for show, Felipe Massa said, "Don't forget the Michael has won more than any of us." Yes he has, but to be exact, Michael has won 91 GPs and the rest of the active field has won 80 combined.

    Thanks.
It sinks in better when I see it in black and white.

I'd like to see the old codger hand it to them young-uns.
    Just not expecting it.

    Wow! Truly amazing statistic.

Here's to hoping that MS and the Merc are competitive this year.

Why would Mark need to say that if the Red Bull will be so much better than the Mercedes? To me it shows some sort of fear, I couldn't really see MS going for another championship this year so it doesn't make sense that Webber would feel the need to make this kind of comment

Kimi and David (Coulthard) account for 31 wins that don't count because they retired recently. Kimi's retirement means that Michael also leads the field 7 to 5 on WDCs (instead of just 7-6). Michael needs to win 5 races this season to maintain a lead on wins. His lead on WDCs in good for at least one more year.

Fascinating to read Hulk's observations. Also to "read" Nico Rosberg's face every time he got out of the car... I think the Merc, and more specifically Schu's time, is more show than go...

I don't buy it. Same thing with Williams' speedy lap. Rosberg just came out with a statement also saying it wasn't just for show, then again he is on the same team. How is it a 'show' lap when the person does 10 laps and already had been averaging doing 10-20 lap runs the past two days? It was not different than any other run, only for that run they were testing the supersofts. Media is just being media. Webber did run supersofts but he didn't get a good run in them. I'm sure it's just a matter of setup.
