I'm surprised no one has posted about the newly released performance stats for the Mclaren MP4-12C .. coz they're damn impressive! I received the email off Mclaren yesterday which stated amongst other things ....

0-60mph = 3 seconds dead when fitted with the optional Corsa tyres
0-100kph = 3.1 seconds or 3.3 seconds on standard tyres.
0-200kph = 8.9 seconds, or 9.1 seconds on standard tyres. That's faster even than McLaren's seminal F1 road car, a car that redefined fast in 1993 and cost at least £540,000. Top speed is 330kph, or 205mph.
Aided by the Airbrake, the 12C stops as hard as it goes, decelerating from 100kph to standstill in just 30.5m, or less than seven car lengths.

    Hi Kylemad,

I had a GTI few years back and did quite a few upgrades.

You can feel a good gain when you make performance upgrades on the GTI.

I did the upgrades in stages and ended with ECU, exhuast, turbo kit, air intake, suspension, brakes, etc. (May have left some parts out, it was quite awhile back)

Let me know if you need any advise.

Yes, Exquisite Marques has custom ECU program for the GTI and other makes.

Welcome, anytime you want to hear it again just let me know! ;)

I'll be there for the 26 drive.

    Great news guys!

My car has been accepted for this year's Mille Miglia under the Tribute to Ferrari :D

Finally, I can drive along the route as a participant, though not a period correct car but we'll still mingle with all the luminaries!

Now, is anyone interested to be on the reserve list of my co-driver, u must be an experienced driver with manual gearbox, tiny mountain roads & be a roommate as well for at least 3D2N. 11-14 May.

Not exactly Ferrari but the father company Fiat & this looks like a Zagato version with the bubble roof.

To qualify, cars must be built before 1957 with similar models being entered in the original Mille Miglia race which makes it difficult & potentially expensive to find.

The mightly Aston Martin DB3S & very loud. Not sure of the chassis on this but most of these race spec cars are well over few million dollars now.

& this car looks to be this with the extra nostrils http://www.**************/Pics?v=y&s=c&id=61&p=1953_AstonMartin_DB3S1.jpg

There was at least one that raced in our very own Singapore Grand Prix some 60years ago!

My goodness. It is the same car with the same registration since 1953! Oh & this appears to be Stirling Moss winning in Goodwood.

Thanks Daniel. I didn't do the last leg of the rally last year & took the highway so I'm really glad to be back & looking to complete it. We'll also be doing the Fiorano race track & driving through the Maranello factory gate as well! It's a long trip home for my car :D

Really overjoyed to be selected as only 130cars are accepted among the hundreds & reviewed by a committee based on car & it must be original, unmodified. I could well be the first Singaporean to enter this though with a Malaysian car. Now, my concerns are overtaking in a LHD country plus shipping the car to & back! Oh & the insurance as well....

Derek, it's all over the news now & several others, just look under British cars in Fchat.

    Enjoy :)

I may never spend 1 million on another car, ever again, the depreciation is astronomical but with that money spent on a classic car, you can find a very decent & rather important classic Ferrari (not to register here) & others with appreciating value. Think even a Miura SV is attainable!

is this going to be driving your 456? I'd put my hand up but I really don't how my schedule looks in May

I reckon you probably are the first Singaporean to enter .. as for RHD on LHD roads .. it all comes down to trusting your co-driver

Yes sir. The 456 fits the bill being unmolested & I'm actually going to order new exhaust for it which now makes me think twice, but new tyres & clutch for sure! We'll keep in touch again by April as I need to submit the form to the organisation & I much prefer a buddy than wife for the trip :D

I guess so abt the "navigator", my friend was doing 180 in hill climbs some 20yrs ago. It was left, right, left & then suddenly they went into the air, stared @ each other & crashed down the valley. Spent the next few months in hospital....

Btw, u mentioned that you drove in Monaco? Is parking easy & please tell me more, I might drive over.
