I see clearly the gas cap difference, could you graffically explain the detail of the wings?
    Thanks

I believe that for some reason there is no interest to solve the Ferrari Mercedes mistery , everything written about this car has to be rewritten and if you add 0302 to the aquation you are really in deep water.

Note the single, 8-plug distributor where the generator typically is located on the four-cylinder motors. Never seen this single-distributor arrangement on a four-cyl before.

Great find Jsalgatti, the interior picture shows how spartan the design was, no door handles, just a cable like MGA and others, it also shows that the transmission was attached to the engine and not a transaxel like some publications have stated.

Bryan, there are a few more details, what seems to be the generator looks rather small, wonder how many amps, the carbs are attached to rubber hoses before the head, I cant distinguish the double coil they mention it in the link.
    http://www.ferrari.com/English/GT_Sport%20Cars/Classiche/All_Models/Pages/625_TF.aspx
Wonder how many more differences between wide and narrow angle heads.

Thanks for pointing out the rubber hose mountings for the carbs. My recolection here is that this was done on the very early 4 cylinder motors to compensate for the low end vibration.I have looked for just this set up and never seen it before. Maybe some of our experts can fill us in more on this. just one man's opinion tongascrew

During the 50's, 60's and even '70's, cars with side draft Weber carburators, used rubber like mountings, for heat and vibration porpuses, such as Alfa Romeo

    Cheers

    Very interesting Thread!

You have to remember that especially with cars shipped to SA Ferrari often played around with chassis/engine numbers and definitely restamped a number of cars/engines over the years.

Looks to me that there is not much to add to this thread, a few things look clear now, this es the Ferrari Mercedes car that raced in the venezuelan GP of 1957.
The identity of this car has been discussed for many years and I believe that we have established very clearly that it is not 0562 or 0534 like some of the experts especulated for many years.

    Dear Athanase,
    I need an information.
Is it true that in the book "Triumph and Tragedy" there is an immage of Lino Fayen driving a Moretti 750S barchetta? If yes, can you send me please that immage to [email protected]

    Thanks very much.

    Antonio

Tongascrew quoted today in the 0758 thread.

Tongascrew, this is strange but without the intervention of some people like the ex owner of 0304 Antoine Prunet and the actual owner Juan Quintano it wont be easy to advance, Prunet was asked several times in the thread and he never responded, I tried to contact Mr Quintano in Spain, with no luck.
In my investigation I found documents that place TF engine 0306 in one of the cars that came to Venezuela.

Hi, can you post the doccuments on 0306 engine. Also if you get a chance to get measurements and more pictures of the chassis please do. Don't give up yet. It's always possible that more may surface at any time. just one man's opinion tongascrew

I have not given up tongascrew, if you read this thread from the begining you can notice that many people called the finding a "FAKE" until I visited the car and posted some interesting pictures, where is the opinion of those people now?
Measurements are useless unless you have something to compare to.

This thread was one year old last week, and after more than 28.000 visits.
Any opinions on what do we do next?
Any conclusion on the findings so far?
