We' have been talking about this on the Countach thread. It has been happening for a while now. Unfortunately it is a period of a century where money is completely lop-sided. If it were the other way around, I would be buying old Lamborghinis from Europe.

Look, this is an issue with all automobiles as well an overarching financial problem for us here in the USA. There was nothing in what I said that implied I know everything around here. FerrariChat is not the only place to become aware of this trend. I was a bit astonished that you were so uniformed on this matter. It's also not my fault that you are. The days of a strong US dollar making it easier to bring cars from Europe here, as you suggested, are long gone.

Not so sure..in the last week and half I have sold my Jarama, Espada III as well as my Urraco..ALL for what have been record prices here in the USA from my searches.. They were all extremely FINE tip top condition examples..; 2 are staying in the USA..the Espada as leaving to cross the pond.
I've noticed this last weeks, that the nicest cars (Jarama, Islero, Espada) went for top prices $$$$$ or . 2011, there is a new trend : real Lambo collectors start to undertsand it is the time to buy "very good Lambo" just under 90.000 $ or 70.000 and to continue to leave the "scrapt cars" for the others dreamer only buying a price and not "a ready to go Lambo". I believe they realise it costs a lot to restore or to maintain in a very good state these expensive cars... just normal when you see that a single porsche 2.4 S or Alpine A110 make top money for a common sport car...

Hi Olivier We live in Kent and not so far from you. When our restoration is complete we must meet up for a photo shoot. Ours is all original and we have owned it since Deceber 1977. We came over to Brugge on bikes last year so I know we can do it in a day Regards lynne
