I had lots of fun with him. He needed a small car for Monaco, so he contacted his agent to get a job from VW. They were delighted and he took some not so good photos (IMO) within 1 day. He got paid with an incredible sum of money - and the VW Golf GTi fully equipped on top! He was a real character (to a model: "Darling, don`t care about your boobs, I saw naket t**s long before you were born!") Ciao! Walter
This car's livery went through several guises. This model is pretty faithful as far as its original livery is concerned, rear reflectors, S badge and exhaust valance excepted.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Easy question for the experts.... What is the red light for? Is it wired to the brake lights? Is it simply a night running light? Thanks Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login

Extra trivia - always on the "typical" steering wheel side of the ECE country you are registered in - not neccessarily that of the actual car. -mick
Hi everyone, I just saw a very nice documentary about the Countach LP400 on "Motor Show", on TSR2, swiss TV. The car shown was red, and was said to be part of the VW collection, it was registered WOB 0749. I'll try to find it on youtube and let everyone enjoy.
Have you a link of the documentary?Thanks Is this LP400 1120082? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoozLyCeNCM&feature=feedf[/ame]

Brilliant car and brilliant photos (as usual)! The Audi is known as a sporty car, but looks like a barn compared to the Countach. Lamborghini did something very right...
I swear to god, nsxer Countach is miniture. I said it years ago with the photo with the black corvette and photo with Ferrari. Now look with Audi. What the heck hahahahaha
Peter, When sitting by themselves these cars seem like fairly large sports cars...the width of the cars make them seem larger than they really are. When sitting next to other cars though they immediately shrink. Park your beautiful blue S1 next to a Corvette and it will look like a kids toy. Brian
I'm trying to find 2 Countachs owned by Gary Kildall of Austin, Texas during the 80's or 90's. One was white and the other was a black car with wing and silver wheels, black interior, fog lights in the front and the front bumper may have been customized. Sound familiar to anone out there?
