Yeah, Sorry guys. Life has been hard without Monica.

However, on a good note, I hear she is all back together and ready to roll. I was not able to get out early to pick her up from Brian's and the rain did not let up, so I will therfore pick her up on Tuesday.

First of all .... Monica is coming home !!! WOOOOHOOO !!!!
Glad she is feeling better Butcher !! She looks great from all angles, and sounded awesome on our drive last year.

Now for the International Space Station.... sthetix's link will work as well, but this might be more helpful for the novices.
and some links to some cool things.... try
    http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/home/index.html

Under "Realtime Data" are some subtopics...
Sighting Opportunities - in drop down menu, select USA and then State and then city.
This will tell you the times in your area and where to look, and what elevation, etc.

Orbital Tracking - this gives a graphic view of the ISS's path. Hard to predict using this, but when it is close, you can get a good idea of direction...

What to look for - a star sized object moving slowly across the sky... takes a few minutes to go from full horizon to horizon... less at lower elevations.

they are flying at 17000 miles an hour... that's almost as fast as Vraiment !!

Next week, STS-133 is due to launch !!
and as a side note... Cady Coleman is up there on the ISS now... she has in her possession two flutes - one from "The Chieftans" and one from Ian Anderson - of Jethro Tull.
Paolo Nespoli is also up there... he's been for a ride in my mighty 328.... :)
If you watch the launch on CNN or NASA TV, you may see Astronaut Kay Hire doing the commentating. I took here for a few hot laps in my 328 around Daytona two years ago... but the best was when Valentino Balboni took her for a ride in his Lambo at 190+ mph. He got out and thanked me for the opportunity. It was his only opportunity to drive the 24 hour Daytona circuit.... and he was Lambo's test driver for 40 years !! A good day for all.

    Enjoy the views......

Had our Mt. Tam drive been this weekend we'd have needed snow tires! There was a brief window this morning when one could see this and then it clouded over.

I'd rather be at Tokyo Disney with Hiros !!

We passed thru the Straits of Bab al Mandeb.... Yemen to the east, Eritrea and Djibouti to the west.... then on to the Gulf of Aden and the Internationally Recognized Transit Corridor... affectionately known as the Pirate Gauntlet, although now, they are all over the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and Gulf of Aden.... lots of fun !!

I picked mine up from Brian's shop in the middle of the deluge. +Jackknifed big rig was sideways on 238, I now know that the 360 does not mind traffic and sits there purring like a docile kitten (unlike my vintage v12). I could also see out the window without using a towel.

I believe the FOG protocol is as follow:

    1. Select one of the meanest looking pirates
    2. Ask him to wear the FOG cap
    3. Take a picture using a Nikon d200 or other pre-approved camera by FOG board
    4. Post the pic quickly on fchat before they take away the computer

It is too long for a commercial but quite a nice one. Taiwan has a strong motor bike culture, they would have use bicycle in P.R. China
