Looks like your shop did the same thing mine did. And man, you have a really bad attitude. Here I am trying to be helpful and you're brushing me off like this. Nice guy, you are.
OMG! Love the wheels! More pix please. I know this thread is about the leds though...but dang, those are mad mad wheels!
Thanks very much for sharing your pictures SSR. I like your approach of using a plastic tube. Your leds seem to be very bright. Where did you buy them? Thanks, Stef
To be honest I don't know my tech made them he told me he can sell them as a kit if anyone is interested ...
My shop also did the same thing too and also said that they could make more for anyone that wants it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How about posting details? I'm interested, as am sure many more members here since it's just 'plug-and-play'. I cringed when saw pictures of wiring cut-off to solder the LEDs. I wouldn't do that to a Civic, let alone a Ferrari, but to each his own. Have a great weekend gang.
These are the BBS FI wheels. Same as the ones on the 599 GTO but a different size (GTO is 20" and mine are 19") Me too..I'm very particular about how things should be done. They did a great job and I'll be doing a write-up about it soon. What the shop did was surprisingly effective and totally transparent.
In some of the photos it seems similar to something I have seen online called LED Literibbon. http://www.litegear.com/led-literibbon-white/
Thanks for sharing this link. That's a very good product which would suit this DIY very well. Current consumption / meter is 1.6A for the Very High output type, wide beam angle of 120 degrees. Exists also in Waterproof version. Cuttable every 3 leds. Seems to be the very right product and a good alternative to the Ikea leds.
Thanks for the lead mate. Jacob is doing up a couple of sets for me now so me and my mates can do a group 'update'. Lol. Cheers.
I did a write-up on this mod on another forum but I'm not able to link it because FC won't let me. I wish I could post the write-up here but I don't like the way FC handles images. I can't "label" each one.
