IMHO, it's easier to paint the engine bay now since the gut is out but don't forget that it'll be towing time! I would just get the car going first then do the wrap later. But if it's a full paint job, now's the time.

Have a look @ the below pic. It was made for a 355 which fitted mine on small spacers that were on it. Wheels also fit 360 & 430 supposedly without spacers. I hope Hurry still has it! Just keep to the left of Dunearn rd towards north & don't go under the Farrer Rd underpass. He's in the shophouse just before McDonald's, so go slow there to turn in but do call me first as they need to locate the wheels & go only after your car is up & running.

Back from a fun afternoon track session at Sepang .. thanks to Harold for the invite I certainly got my fix :)

A couple of interesting sights on the way back .. I passed a group of about 30 OLD motorbikes (my guess all pre-WWII give or take) .. Nortons, Triumphs, Indians, & Harleys etc. After seeing the Sultan of Selangor's collection last year I suspect it could have been his, although there was no added security around as they trundled down the breakdown lane. Sorry no pics I was trying to beat the rain home!

Soon after I passed a Singapore plated Silver 911TT who's owner did a little gardening off road .. luckily not a lot of damage & doubt anyone hurt, although given the straight piece of road I did wonder how he could have an off where he did.

Oh boy, I had a full day of meeting or would've gone over & meet up with you boys. Are the rest staying over in KL?

A 997TT? maybe a blown tyre. How did your C63 do? Nice to hear classic bikes on the move, would've imagine more fun in trunk roads though.

I took the buggy in the end as I didn't want to be seen trashing the wife's car.. only did 15 laps as I didn't want to push my luck especially with the traffic jam on track, but amazingly nothing broke & nothing fell off (that I know of).

Hmm yeh the 911TT could well have been a blow out

a little worse for wear, but not too bad from what I could see, & nothing like the 458's tyres. I will get them looked at properly on Monday.

NO. After more than 2.5 years of a leaking roof & 3 weeks after my warranty no longer covers the roof, another problem occured with a 4k!!!! (yes 4k a repair bill). You'd think after suffering for so long, the Ferrari gods would be kinder to me. After all the trouble I think this will be my last spider, & possibly last Ferrari :(

apparently a tension cable has broken internally .. probably a $2 part but a lot of work to replace it .. it's noones fault and is likely from wear & tear .. but it's frustrating that I haven't been without a roof issue now for over 2.5 years & that for me is unacceptible. Add to that the fact that had it happened 4 weeks earlier it would have been covered under warranty is a slap in the face :(
