I've still never seen a Mondial in person. I've loved Ferraris forever, had a 308 for a couple years now, and still never seen one.

I think I've seen nearly every other model manufactured since the 70s, a few competition cars, but no Mondials.

    Maybe someday....

....it solves the chronic problem that 302/328/Mondial grouping does not recognize that the t has the 348 powertrain. But all of you know that. :)

Mondial Section! If they can force Mubarak out of Egypt, surely we can get our own section on Fchat!

I'll upgrade to a Rossa subscriber if the Mondial gets its own section.

Since I am already a Rossa, I would make an additional $50.00 donation to the charity of Rob's choice.

Doing a little math, I make it that 6124 Mondials were built so you have a good story about having your own forum. After all, how many mid-engined 2+2s are out there? 308 GT4, Lamborghini Urraco, plus the Mondial are all I remember. I always though the Mondial was attractive, as well as being extremely practical. At least I sure took a lot of photos of them at the factory in Oct 1983.

    Why not ask Rob?

We will mass our supporters - - tear gas and rubber bullets will not weaken us. We will march on the website "square".

Hey, we're not looking to overthrow anything.........but we'll have some laughs.

The army of Ferrari lovers is in our corner, they told me so------ :):)

BTW, our justified love for these glorious Mondials will have a positive effect on pricing!!! I can't wait for M. Sheehan to finally proclaim, "Honestly, I know nothing about the Valeo Mondial t car. Also, I don't know of any college students who's tuitions were "funded" by Valeo repairs. With two World Rally Championships supported by Valeo Systems, it does seem to work better than expected" (this is not a quote, just what I wish he would finally buy into).

Anyway, Rob, Can we have a Mondial section of our own???????? It makes sense, since it's not about the engine. It's really about the car's totally unique concept and purpose.

    Cheers mate,

    Hank

That's pretty cool, you don't see Verde Tenue too often. This one was for sale last year (or so).

The Mondial Preservation Society, that has a nice ring to it and I also vote for Joe as President.

Do we have any artists here who can create icon or symbol that represents our cars? Right now, I can think of one characteristic that's synonymous to all Mondials but no other Ferraris.

Yes, I have more than two seats. Is that a bad thing?? I can transport both you and your mate and, of equal importance, two kids and a boat load of stuff as well. Hey, I'm Italian - yo - I do what I can!!

The attached picture is of me (Rachel) and my care taker, Hank, cruising down the 405 in California.

    Ahh...........what can I say?

    I can say - -

all family be well & be happy.

    Cheers, Hank

I had sent Rob a PM earlier today regarding our interest in creating our own section. Rob was extremely courteous and set up a poll for us.

As I said in that thread, I really appreciate Rob's efforts to consider our position. Hopefully, we will get the support we need from our members.

Now go out there and vote everybody!!!!!!!!!

Now everyone is going to think I have gone off the deep end, but I think we should run with this idea.

If there is enough people willing to "join" I will contact some F-chat sponsors and see if they would agree to give us a group rate or discounts on parts. I will also contact some of those brilliant DIY'ers like Ron and others who have stepped in where the factory has let us down and see if we can put something together where we can get seasonal specials on different parts or at least try and make some group orders to stimulate production. Maybe we could even arrange for such brilliant minds as Brian Crall, Dave Helms and some of our sponsors like Braden, etc, to give us online tech sessions in our Mondial forum.

Heck, if we can get enough support, maybe we will set up a webpage and become an F-chat sponsor! The sky is the limit. If I have learned anything from my time on this board, it is that I am not alone in my extreme passion for this car. If all of us could work together, we could probably make the ownership experience that much better.

This all came to me today as I was in my garage with a friend admiring my Mondial. I have crazy plans for this car down the road. Things I am almost embarrassed to say out loud, but include, at a minimum a classiche certification and a COMPLETE ground up concours restoration when she hits 60K miles.

So, now is the time to do it, before my wife reconsiders the nutbag she married and I am out on my ass.

Joe, I suspect your wife absolutely loves the "nutbag" she married - - and is enjoying all of your collective "Ferrari" smiles.

    Cheers mate,

Ok just got back from work and taking care of the leather......moisuturize.......

I totally support a Mondial site. Joe those are all great ideas. I am willing to help up here in Canada. What ever it takes.

BTW did I say I love my car, I am counting down the days till I can hear the sweet roar of the Tubis. I will actually postpone my belt change for a few months so I can get my fix.

To the Mondial Scociety let us make Enzo proud.

Ted- No, that is Ing. Andreone. My wife, daughter and I got a one on one tour with him just by calling and asking. A bit different then from what it takes now, but then there was a whole lot less to see in 1983.

Wade- They really did come in some wild colors, a lot like 911s of the 70s and early 80s.

    I like the wall.....pretty cool.

There is an Italian dub of that scene with Al Pacino on you tube, I get a kick out of it every time .

    Thanks for the support.

Good night, I smell like geez wax.... But the interior sure looks gooooood.......3 months for snow to melt and 1 month to fix all the streets and I am gone!
