Who went and saw the Senna movie? Hard to believe he passed in 94. What a great era, when drivers truly hated each and were willing to put their life on the line for a win. This current generation with their we are best buddies all smiles and Corp BS that spills out of their mouths does not compare. Might as well play little boys games like stick & ball sports. Senna was the man!
Laemmies Town Center only playing during the afternoon. For the next few days. http://movies.zap2it.com/movies/mvtheaterdet.do?theaterId=7926
I just found out about this late last night. I'm a former bike road racer and martial artist I think we would have had plenty to chat about. My boys wore their black SS shirts it was a good crowd. We hit this old institution in Boyle Heights for dinner after, good long day.
Hey guys I already posted in the F1 section. I saw it yesterday at the theater in Encino, a bit of an old and small theater which was packed. Highly recommend the film, incredible footage that was very well edited with a beautiful and haunting soundtrack. A lot of the footage, I had never seen and it was definitely given to the film makers by the Senna family. My suggestion is to see it on a big screen and take a box of Kleenex.
Wow, thanks for the heads up. Been wanting to see this movie since I heard about it last year and now it's playing next door! Just booked my ticket, I'm so excited.
The moment it got to me was after Senna won the Brazilian GP with the bad gearbox... In the end, Karts were his Rosebud....
interesting. I think I'll see it tomorrow (realized today was a holiday and didn't want to put up with theater crowds)
