Guys, does Rhommel do tuning for the F430? I've recently swapped the entire exhaust system to Fabspeed headers, Fabspeed test pipes and a Capristo Twin Sound and the cel has popped up (finally). Thinking of bypass or disable the cat o2 sensor.

i spoke to him and he said he could do 360 cs so i assume he can do 430 as well but NA so wonuldnt imagine there would be that much gain. i ahve had CEL for the past 2 years. i think u need to physically move the o2 sensors further out or buy a device that "cheats" the sensors, not sure a tuner can tune out the cel so it wont trigger.

Tim is right. A tuner has no way to remove the CEL on an O2 sensor. And also right that an NA car will feel very little difference from a tuner.

Exactly, which is why I'm kicking myself for not making it clear at the start. I'm not after gains, I'm perfectly happy with the factory map. Who needs more gains when the car is so darn fun to drive. If I want it faster, I'd put my name on the list for a 458 or just pick up a used Scud.

Ok, so it's more mechnical a solution than electronic eh? Looks like I'll have to bring the 430 back to the shop that did my M6 (race headers and complete straight through pipes). They tweaked the o2 sensors and managed to stop the cel from coming on....

check some of the threads here under 360/430 section . i think you can buy the 02 sensor "cheater" from usa .iirc, quite inexpensive and works . altho no real gains, tuning with your new exhaust set up supposed to help optimise everything since with existing map , might be too rich or something

Yeah you gotta cheat the system. Maybe take the O2 sensor out, get the wires that connect to the sensor, put a correctly rated resistor in where the sensor used to be and voila no more check engine light. or something like that.

Hi guys, does anyone here have any experience with driving in the UAE? Any good routes to recommend? I've been there and have seen their excellent roads, but I've also heard of their terribly dangerous drivers...

You should give Rhommel a call and he would be able to give you his opinion.

If you are adventurous , replacing the ecu with motec would be interesting.

Not sure where, but apparently, the dude clipped the volks and the exhaust was hot enough to start a fire on the dry leafs. crazy huh?

    Hey guys,

Before the new engine goes into the Esprit, I am going to spray the engine bay with a new coat. Give a nice even coat so that there are no worn out areas etc...

In my old GC8, i gave a colour of racing grey and that suits the nature of the car. But I was wondering what colour I should spray the engine bay for the Esprit.

Should it be the colour of the car? Or should I go with racing grey? Or would black be best so that it never gets to look dirty.

Was also thinking of spraying the cam covers of the engine red.

As for car body colour, would matte Orange or matte Lime green with Black gloss rims be nicer or shiny orange or shiny lime green with matte black rims? Or shiny orange with the normal silver rims.

Rims size will be about 19inches or 18 inches. Flushed.

Reason for me asking is that I have yet to find any pictures with these colour combis on the internet. So based on your experiences with cars of these shapes and size....what would be good?

Saw this pic....like the combi...shiny orange with black rims.

    Thanks guys!

orange is great, had it on my 350. with black wheels it will look very contemporary, but will often be mistaken for a lambo. for retro modern, maybe classic "spy who loved me"white might be nice. what are u doing with interior?

So... I see that a certain conglomerate has added the McLaren logo to their corporate stationery. Time to place deposits? Or are they all sold out...

The orange looks good IMO, or like Tim said, white on black shoes. Green would make it look really Japanese wouldn't it? Not that I have anything against them, haha

My guy fitted longer tubes where the O2 fit on his Fabspeed, you can email John to see what they say.
