I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i thought i would give it a try? Road & Track came out with a poster many years ago of Phil Hill driving a 1960 Ferrari 250 TR. This large poster is autographed by the late Phil Hill and i believe autographed by John Lamm who photographed this poster. This poster is long sold out and i already tried to contact motorsportmarketing about it. Below is a link of the poster behind Peter Bourassa

    http://www.projo.com/projocars/content/CA_MMR_01-24-09_C3D26UT_v12.299b174.html

Any help to find this poster for sale, would be greatly appreciated.

Those were sold at Monterey in 1994. Phil Hill was there signing them with the photographer. Yes, I have one. No it isn't for sale. Yes, I know someone else with a poster as well, No, I have no idea if he wants to sell. Let me ask him, but my thought is that he will want A LOT for it.

According to the original ad (R&T Nov 1994) this was a limited edition of 500 prints, of which 250 were to be signed by Phil Hill and John Lamm. The unsigned prints were $40, the signed ones were $100. Of course the pictured car is a TR59 (0768), which belonged to Pete Lovely at the time. The Salon article on 0768 is in the same issue of R&T. Sorry, I don't know where you can obtain a signed poster.

That's gonna be expensive, now that we have lost Phil, the signature I have on "A Champion's View" is quite small....

Sad, really, when compared to those from the 60s.....

I don't think it's a poster, but rather a "print".....did you check in with Morry at Collector Studio???

BigTex, i havent contacted Morry yet but i think i might have to check with him. I already tried Road and Track. They originally had this print for sale way back when... I tried contacting John Lamm but no response. It will be difficult to find this and youre right, expensive too.
I have a lot of prints and photos autographed by Phil Hill. I also have his book like you have. To me, he is one of the greatest drivers ever. Many pick Mario Andretti, Aryton Senna, Michael Schumacher etc. This is fine. All fantastic drivers. But for me, it was Phil Hill.
After reading his book, it made me realize what the drivers of that time, endured to try to win races (50's and 60's)...
Winning LeMans, F1 world champ, carrera panamericana...

Thanks BigTex... Took me 4 years to get it. I never knew it existed up until 4 years ago. I found a copy but it sold quickly at 1000 (UK) pounds!! This print came out in 1989 and quickly sold out. I was very, very lucky to find a copy that had been untouched (never framed) and brand new....
Now, my search continues for that other print... The joy of collecting (the search for the next thing on your list) :)

I had a Signed Phil Hill 2004 Monterey Historics poster. Like a dumb @$$ I accidentally gave it away when I sold a ton of old poster inventory when I had my business. I had a bunch of signed posters in the box as well. They were all in Poster Tubes and the prick didn't tell me I had screwed up. Atleast I still have the Program and Ferrari Cap he signed.

    James,

I have a large professionally framed 3'-9" x 2'-8" photo print signed by Phil Hill and John Lamm.

It is a 1959 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, photographed by John Lamm and copyright by Road & Track in 1994.

This is limited edition 164 of 250.

It actually is signed "Best Wishes to Jon, Phil Hill"

Jon was my husband who passed away just before Phil in 2008.

If you still have an interest, please get back to me at [email protected]

Hey gang, top this back up......

What is the current value of this Phil Hill signed item, in the collective opinion here?

It's a beautiful piece and No Longer Available, anywhere...

We have this one already posted on offer from the widow of the original purchaser.....I was going to put it up in FerrariAds, on her behalf.

All on this thread get first bid before I do.

I have some signed Phill Hill prints from Nicholas Watts.

From what I gather the prints alone with the signatures are worth around $400.00 I have seen the same prints without driver signatures for about $100.00 less.

The photo in question with the framing etc,...

Maybe ask $100.00 and take less.

If I was a buyer this is the range I would say..."yea, that's a fair price"

Is that pricing current, or when you purchased them???

I'm recalling the stack of Cuban GP posters Fangio signed, the price went thru the ROOF after he passed on.....

I have collected a number of things about this great driver. A real Rennaisance man. I recently got a copy of the Newsweek article. Unfortunately not the whole magazine but the front cover and the article. Never knew til now this existed. Any idea where I can get a good copy of the complete magazine? just one man's opinion tongascrew
