This morning I had figured out a nice clean route- no salt or water from melting snow and it was nice and early so not many people on the roads...took her out on route 287 for a few miles and cleared out the lungs/tubi a little bit :) Unplugged the battery tender, lowered the air pressure in the tires (I overinflate for winter storage to avoid flat spots) and was off.

Man it felt good, but outside of some full acceleration moments I didn't push the car in twisties- summer tires with mid-30 degree weather doesn't really mix. Anyone else get out today? Potential for more snow/salt later in the week, so I figured I better get her out a little today or wait for another few weeks if they salt anything...I feel much better now ;)

I had the 308 for a 3hr drive out to Ronkonkoma & back.
Roads weren't bad if you stayed out of the puddles.
Lots of debris was flying about. I ran over a bunch of plastic bottles.
Even drove though snow flurries on the way back.

    But I feel better :)

Took her out again this morning- registered 25 degrees at one point (I was thinking that was probably the coldest my car has ever been driven it's whole life!) Strangely the check engine light that was on last fall before putting it away for the winter and yesterday went off- will have the codes checked anyway in the spring during fluid changes, but maybe the Italian tune up I gave the car yesterday had something to do with it going off on its own ;)

I got out Saturday AM too. Just long enough to get the oil good and hot.

I love to hear you're obviously, still enjoying the 360, Andrew, I remember I went to that C&C with you right after you had purchased it, I'll never forget your excitement. I think that might've been the first time you had it out? Not sure though. Would be honored to jump in with you sometime again, if you're doing any rally's or even to another C&C, had a great time last time! Ferrari's will give you that excitement, have another great year with it! Take care.

To earn a little extra $ in the Winter I drive around with a snow plow on the front of the Enzo and remove the snow from my steady list of customers....with the amount of HP the Enzo has I can do a 100 foot driveway with less than 12 inches of snow in less than 10 minutes...LOL...

Glorious day for a drive. Blasted out to the Hamptons for lunch at dee angelos. 200 miles. The roads were not bad, dry and salt free. I stuck to the highways so there were no real frame crushing pot holes.

Just realized this thread is still "alive"- yes got the car to the C&C on Saturday- Rich had the Enzo there (I missed the drive out with him since I didn't check this thread beforehand)...

Yesterday was so nice I gave the car a much needed wash, although as these things go then didn't have time to then get in a good drive! May get it out tomorrow as I'm using up a leftover 2010 vacation day ;)

By the way, no snow plow needed on the enzo- the peak of the nose breaks through the snow and it falls to either side of the car...only complaints from customers were that the equipment Rich was using to move the snow was too loud- they said it sounded like a forumula one race in their driveway, darn straight pipes on the 6.0 liter V12 :)

Hit a HUGE pothole today with my Benz 550 4M on Queens Blvd. Cut a hole in one of my brand new Continental tires I just had installed. I can't even imagine the damage it would have done to my 355! Beware...potholes are everywhere!

A cruise to the Hamptons does sound good though. Especially now when there is no traffic getting out there.

Though not as exciting as the back roads I stuck to the highways just for that reason. The lie, southern state, sagtakos were all smooth. Out east there were no potholes to speak of. Too bad about the tire. It's rough out there. I have never seen the roads this bad.

Thank God I bought the additional $25 insurance through Mavis. Didn't think I would need it four days later!
