Crazy to think that the one in the middle cost 4x as much as the other two!

Someone should add a Diablo and Countach to the top of that chart.

Hey Bas: I will give my opinion even if YOU don't like it! I have owned 4 Lambo's and I currently have 3. Maybe you should move to a country where they restrict honest opinion? BTW, how many Lambo's do you currently own?

From the profile, the only thing I would have changed is the curve of the front end. i would have made it end sharper and abruptly like the Countach and Diablo.

    Yep

Countach still the winner for coolest looking car of all time (IMVHO)

Its interesting how the beltline of the Murci is almost identical to the Countach. Never realized that before.

Reventon with the Aventador's rear tails/diffuser would be perfect imo

Pity to see the arch over the rear wheels has degraded and disappeared over time, that was one of my favorite queue's.

Glass is not half empty.....it is half full..................that feature was awesome on the LP400, got toned down a bit on the flared Countach variants, as on the Diablo; competely disappeared on the Murci variants (except for a bit of it on the Reventon), and it is back on the Aventador stronger than it was on any Murci variant. So, let's be happy it has come back some.

The trademark Gandini rear wheel arch as shown on the LP400 has a line from the top of the wheel arch going forward and down to around the level of the wheel centerline, then making a hard turn creating an ~120 degree angle as the line goes down slightly toward the rear of the car down to the ground. The rear wheel arch of the Murci is all curvilinear with no angles, except on the Reventon which has a small angle. The Aventador does indeed have a straight line coming from the upper wheel arch forward to about the centerline of the wheel, then making a hard angle, this time creating a larger angle, more like ~150 degrees, as the line then comes back down toward the rear a little as it goes down to the ground. When you consider the vent sculpted in front of the wheel well, this vent design exaggerates this concept of an angle. You can picture the line continuing into the vent, then back down, and it gets very close to the LP400 shape. It is obvious much work went into the wheel arch and vent design congruities to both create a newish modern wheel arch opening while capturing a sense of the original when you consider the vent as part of the total picture. I hope you can see it with this explanation! Whether the public gets it or not, is yet to be seen by the overall public reaction to the car.

In this 3/4 image you can also see how the vent tries to help the wheel arch 'recreate' the trapeziodal trademark Gandini shape

I have to admit, I hadn't caught that until you pointed it out, but now it's so obvious.

I'm loving the Aventador, much more than I did the original Murcielago...

agreed! also, to me, those tail lights give me an 'old school' vibe, but completely 21st century at the same time. hard to explain. fantabulous from the rear 3/4. really starting to like the sharp lines/angles more and more now.

The more I look at it the more the entire thing is a home run.

Best looking car i can think of since the V8 Vantage and the Maser Gran Turismo
