Is this one of the cars they used in the Miami Vice episodes?

    i agree.
but then different people like different things
for example I dont understand why would anyone want a Miura with "odd" additions to it, but i know well that you love your US specification SV

Crazy variety with these cars. Along with everything else, i would guess countach production
running so long had a little to do with it (changing laws etc.). What i do know is that i'm liking older cars of every make more and more over new cars. They all are getting fat and looking "heavy" to me. (sort of like people) :)

I never thought of that but it makes complete sense....I am sure that many cars that left the factory had some sort of "story" attached.

are those RS6 "plus" rims so unusual? Those 03/04 Audis came with two wheel options, one was the 5 spoke

In the States, this is only the 2nd I've seen. BTW, as far as I am aware, they only brought those cars here for MY '03.

I remember the first time I ever saw a Countach is person. I was 19 years old and went to see one in Seattle at a dealership (Gran Prix Motors at the time, now it is Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle). Anyhow, when I first walked in and saw it, I couldn't believe how small it looked compared to some of the other cars that were sitting next to it! When you see it in photo's it just doesn't prepare you for seeing it in person! Now I have one!!! :)

Oh Mike, I thought you were 19 when the model T made way for the model A? LOL.

I first saw one at the "World of Wheels" car show next to a Testarossa, behind ropes, when I was around 9 or 10. Since I was small, it seemed BIG. It was black, like the Cannonball Countach, so you can imagine how excited I was. :D I also saw the speedometer, didn't know the difference between kph and mph, and thought the thing did 300mph, lol. My perception (as a young lad in the late 80's) was that, "Boy, those things must cost 60 thousand bucks". Certainly glad my knowledge has advanced since that time. Sadly, many adults are still afflicted with lack of knowledge of these wonderful beasts, and would likely think my childish observations spot on.

Octane bosses aren't stupid.....they have noticed the increase in sales of their magazine with the Countach focus, and massive increase of web hits, so they are adding content to keep it going. This is just more evidence of growing interest in Countachs across the board imo.

I agree The 70"s Icon is quite undervalued I see a LP5000s in the UK Description "usable"
    at 89,000UK Pounds.
There are more people who will remember the Countach than the Muira due to the media.
    Cheers

That car was sold by Max Bobnar, it resides in the region of Strassbourg, the current owner restored it by himself in the last years. Seems they got to know about the risen prices for S1 cars...

Correct and its a genuine Series One, with aftermarket side skirts, added rear raging bull badge, and end-plates bolted on to the rear wing.
