I read the entire blog back in July right before I bought my '97 B. It was very inspiring and helped me pass the days until purchase.

This was exactly the same case for me. I followed this blog for a good 6 months or so before I purchased my 97B in 2008. I learned a lot about the car and Ferrari ownership before I became an owner. I was kind of sad to see it end when he put it back on sale at his local dealership. The author was supposed to come out with a book, does anyone know if that ever came to fruition?

    Hello,

Butcher, working on the book during slow times at work. Hopefully have something I can sell as an ebook in the near future.

m13s, I did not like the part about the 348 either. It did not make it through my most recent edit.

    RobZ, glad to have helped.

All, thanks for the kind words, miss the car.

    Cheers.

    David,
It's nice to know that you're still on the Fchat threads, particularly the 355 section. I know I followed your blog pretty closely, but I can't remember if you ever got another F-car. You say you miss the 355. What are your overall impressions of the model at this time? I just remember you had a very cool color on you 355. Whereabouts is the car nowadays?
Once again, I have to say, I really enjoyed reading about all your experiences of the 1.5- w year ownership period that you had the car.

    Did you

    David,

Enjoyed the read as it was linked in this thread. Had some time on my hands today and came across your writing. I can relate to many of the issues you went through in the decision process to purchase the car and was pleased by the humor and wit you put into your story. I'd be happy to buy the e-version when available. I may have seen your car with the NW Ferrari Club one year while we toured the Walla Walla wine country. If it was your car at the time, you would recognize my 99 335 F-1 GTS as we parked together the day we had the great wood smoked pizza for lunch. Great job and again, I very much enjoyed reading your story today.

    Klinsd,

Yes that was me. Did your 355 have the Fiorna components?

    Butcher,

The car is in Texas and has had some modifications done. Wheels, suspension, and carbonfiber sport seats.

I have looked at quite a few cars. Mainly 911 TTs but not brougth one home yet.

    Dave,

Yes, that is my 355 GTS. As I recall, part of our conversation was: "That's what my car looks like rolling down the road." Good luck on your hunt for the next car. I'll post a picture once the site is behaving.

Many of you NorCal boys will know about the 'Lunch Bunch'. I was there yesterday, and, Steve, the guy, I was sitting next to asked me if I had read "One Year With a Ferrari".

He sent me a link, and I bought it from Amazon this morning. I doubt many here would find any earth shaking news, but the author has a wonderful, light writing style. It's amazing to me that it has been four years since it's been mentioned.

I read that blog entirely a year ago and because of it I made the decision to buy an F355.

I'm only about 6 months in.

The car is in good hands - living a happy life in Vegas!
One year into it and not one issue or repair bill!
