Yep me.. I also made a comment on the video Its a stunning car no doubt but I would have prefer Lambo to build a brand new, different car. This really looks like the baby of LP560 and Reventon. At 2:02 of the video, it looks exactly like a wider Gallardo LP560 with different headlights.
I'm not overly keen on the colour of this press car but from studying the photos I reckon it will be drop-dead gorgeous in the flesh. So what if it looks Gallardo-esque - the Gallardo is still a great looking car and I can't wait to see the Aventador with my own eyes!
So...seat belts, gas cap location and a storage shelf are the best you have ? Im going to guess spatial dimensions and proportions are not your expertise
I'm a diehard Ferrari guy, though I loved the Countach as a boy. For the past 20 years, Lamborghini has not grabbed me with anything that made me really turn my attention from Ferrari's offerings. Not until now. Sure it may have design cues from previous models, so what? As for the Gallardo comparisons, I'm glad there is some resemblance. I've always liked its looks and secretly wished it had been developed as the lead car (with the cool doors, of course)! Still, the Aventador brings a lot of new to the table, both on the looks and performance side, and for me, it's enough to finally say, "WOW!" A sincere, heart-felt WOW! It's nice to see both Ferrari and Lamborghini offering the incredible at the same time. I continue to be blown-away by the 458, and now I look forward to being equally amazed by the Aventador. Way to go, Lamborghini!!!
This Lamborghini is truly amazing. I had my doubts with the test car; however, after seeing the video posted and the official pictures, I can truly say that Lamborghini has a winner on their hands, no questions asked. The Aventador carries the muscularity and may I say, the violent look, that rightfully personifies the raging bull archetype. - Truly a car to aspire to own!
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2011/02/lamborghini-aventador-lp700-4---07.jpg Is there a mechanical wing? It seems as if there is a panel which can presumably lift for extra downforce. Also, I am assuming there will similar winglets, as found on the Murcielago? Anyone know what the panel is connected to the winglet panel?
I love the car. But I hope I don't see what I think I see on the center console, and that is those Audi switches that I have always been bothered with on the Gallardo.............
Ok, I'm probably the only one, but I couldn't help but start humming the "Twelve Days of Christmas" when I saw those drummers flying around on the video!! "Four Flying Drummers...and an orange Lambo Av-en-ta-dor!" Referring to the Official Video.
I'm going to guess English is not your expertise. Lengthened and widened Gallardo. Honeycomb intakes behind the doors are wider and taller on the new car vs. the Gallardo = WIDER. Overall length is longer. I also forgot to mention the mirrors - which appear to be from the Gallardo parts bin. Do you need more? Oh yeah, the front trunk is a little larger than the Gallardo, but not much. And certainly will not hold the luggage that a Diablo or Murci will hold...
