I'm only commenting on the car's physical appearance. Whether this is the right price for this car or not is debatable.
Browsing all the 450pp topic... This car belonged to a local Lambo freak, and was originally black/red. He sold it to a neighboor, a Marseilles bar-tender, who made it paint (besides very crude job indeed) in yellow.
Albert, on the other forum, is reporting the green lp400, #1, is having a full engine rebuild at Salvioli's shop. And they changed everything inside. Wish he brought his phone for pictures! I hope someone is photo documenting that.
About time. Salvioli's son came to look at it to assess what it needed when I was at the factory in September 2009
Interesting car, I will be happy to comment offline about certain details. Buy it if you can negotiate a good price. I think these will be worth more than LP400 in the future.
Joe I think these are the same as what Ferrari used on the Euro 308 GT4's?.......if so they are available new still from Superformance in the Uk.........check at www.superformance.co.uk under 308, then section for "lights" Hope this helps, Pete
Nothing surprising about that...........most Countach models apart from very early cars, share the front park/indicator assembly's and lenses with Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS (All models).......again another Carello part! The vitaloni Tornado outside mirrors factory fitted to some Countachs is the same as Ferrari 400/400i's The vitaloni Turbo outside mirrors factory fitted to Countach Qv model onwards were the same as Euro/ROW Ferrari 308 Qv'S and Ferrari 328's and all 412i's. I joke with a friend who is a Lambo Countach owner........if he only knew how many Ferrari parts were in their car......L.O.L! P
You forget to mention pop up front lights system common w/ the BB's ! And if we considered how many Lambo parts there are in a Ferrari ?!? ;-))
The lens is the same, but the metal housing, and mounting hardware is different to the ones on Countach. But one can put the new lens in the old housing. They are also sold on ebay by Evans: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LAMBORGHINI-COUNTACH-CARELLO-FRONT-FOG-LAMPS-NEW-LIGHTS-/380320534106?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item588cdece5a
and the Carello name should be on a small metal plate, not printed on a film that's applied to the glass.
