    Good one ! :D

In all seriousness though... Couldnt you say the same then with the model change from the Diablo to the Murci ?

I mean, yeah they have family styling cues. Thats not unusual. But really put some pics next to each other and you will see they arent all that similar.

In all seriousness, no I don't think so. Don't quote me, but I don't think that the Diablo and Murci shared parts. There are many similarities if you put the two next to each other. All described previously. I saw the new car in December. It was not next to a Gallardo, but there were some out on the street. The new car looks more to be an evolution of the Gallardo than a completely new flagship car. Countach to Diablo and Diablo to Murci were radically different. They retained the scissor doors in each model and that was about it.

Again, I hope in person it is much more distinguished and set apart from its little sibling.

Mirrors on Aventador are larger than the Gallardo.
Not sure that they actually share a lot of parts together if any...

None, but that doesn't mean I'm unable to give my view on a car.

I'm pretty sure I have more freedom here in Botswana than most other western countries.

Yes, first thing that came to my mind when I saw the car in the private unveiling in December in LA!

Other than a few familia styling cues such as the Lamborghini beltline (which has been around since the Countach), the side vent (which Mclaren and others also use) and the silhouette (which is again a long time styling cue going back to the Countach) they are very different cars. A pair of calipers (or an overlay) will prove this.

You may not understand how companies use familia styling cues to establish recognizable brands.

My attached image shows the Diablo to Murci was perhaps a bit more dramatic than Murci to Aventador but not by much. Images dont lie. At this point you may as well be arguing that the color of the Aventador below is green not orange/red.

PS Im not trying to convince you to like it, nor am I trying to argue that its a great looking car. Those things are subjective. Whats not subjective is if it looks like a Gallardo or not. Fact: it doesnt.

One doesn't need professional design training to know if one car looks somewhat similar to another car. I think your love of the LP700 is overriding your good judgement.

Thats like saying one doesnt need to go to medical school to be a doctor. Of course they do.

You opinion as to if you like the car or not is valid. We all have our preferences. Your opinion that it looks like a Firebird or Gallardo is invalid. Sorry.

I can show a 458 and a Firebird to my girlfriend and she will think they look the same (this actually happened). They are both four wheeled, low slung sporty cars. She thinks this because, in this subject , she is ignorant.

When you can come back and give an in-depth design critique Im hear to listen. Otherwise you are just giving an ignorant opinion.
