My car seems to be missing some sort of strip at the very bottom of the rocker panels on either side. If it was a piece of chrome I sure can't see in pictures, but there are holes and brackets as if something had been mounted there once. If someone could take a quick peek at their car...

Until I know what to call them, I don't know to find them.

There is a black metal piece extending full length betw. wheel wells at the bottom of the rocker - not on the side - but on the bottom. Smooth - semi-gloss finish. May cover body panel joints? Would need factory repair manual to find terminology......

Can post pic later PM if no one else does before.....

Frankly, it doesn't matter. Even if you know what to call it, these trim pieces are long gone. Don't ask how I know this.

    Dale -
Like everything else that may be 'long gone', it just takes a skilled fabricator to recreate it. I have a project @ Dennison Motorsports right now, and between Butch himself and Dennis Ford, missing pieces just reappear like magic! (quote: it's only time....(and time is only money)).

Dale--I suspect you've got a story. I'm still going to go looking. Thanks one and all--John

As you know, there's not a big market for this stuff. But, those aiming for Platinum seem to be more than willing to pay. :)

The Daytona(shown) is quite different than the 330 GTC rocker molding (having a half oval shaped cross section). The 330 runs full length, is perfectly flat on the face, has sharp j shaped top/bottom flanges(approx.6-7mm in depth), and is hollow in the center. It's painted satin black. Regards, Mike

Hey Onno, thanks. I think I may have tracked down a pair in stainless. Mighty dear.

Meanwhile, let me say your car is a very pretty color. Has anybody ever mentioned that?
