Very, very nice Iain; your hard work has paid off! It's good to see another lovely Dino ready to rock & roll. (Remember to bump the insurance coverage up before you drive it, park it or garage it!) And, from the looks of those pictures, you timed the unveiling perfectly: Sunshine, clear skies, and none of that cold, white stuff on the ground.

'looking forward to the next batch of photos...from your first road trip!
    Cheers,
    Coop

Thanks for all the kind words. I hop to enjoy the car for many years to come so wanted to get it into good shape now.

The mousehair and vinyl for the lower cabin (door sills, centre console etc) came from Superformance who have been an invaluable soure of parts for the car. Dinoparts were also great for many items that were required.

This is the first "classic" that I've been involved with and I'm really surprised that Ferrari haven't been more active in geting involved in the supply of parts for their back catalogue especially now that they are heavily promoting the Classiche programme. It's unlike them to miss out on a money making opportunity. Porsche seem to have covered this area better through their classic parts range for their older cars.

Yes it is. It was built in '71 I think and first registered on 7th March '72 so is about to reach it's 39th birthday. It qualifies as a historic vehicle with our Department of Transport so there is no road tax to pay.

Did you replace the chrome surround on for the front screen. I need to find one for mine and am having trouble finding one.

What a great looking car & you got all the details just right! Just spectacular!! I am considering putting Campagnolo wheels on my 71 euro gt as well and am curious if those are original or the repro ones from Superformance (whom I love to deal with). I am curious as I read here someplace that the originals were magnesium and are like 11 or 12 lbs lighter? I was thinking of buying a set but wondered about that aspect? Does it make a difference? Thanks

My Campagnolos are the ones from Superformance. I've kept the original Cromodoras so I can change the look if I want at some point in the future.
