IMO, the "its a Gallardo" people are seeing more than is there. The Gallardo itself falls into the Lamborghini family resemblence. They all share similar silhouettes. It's got the same general shape as the Countach/Diablo/Murcielago, with some of the angles in different places.

Lamborghini has also kept the Gallardo and the Murcielago on the same design path since they both came out anyway. They started with blunt noses, then they both got the more angled Reventonoses and then they both got an SV nose.

The Aventador moves the current design language along it's logical path. Sure, it wasn't a giant leap, but then the chassis is, so I'm very pleased.

Make mine Grigio Estoque, with black alcantara interior and gunmetal wheels.

I dont remember a 'beatdown' I remember pwning you. Interesting you dont remember it that way.

It doesnt matter, its like arguing the color of the sky with a blind man.

Anyway...are you saying you see a similarity to the Camaro ? because that would be fun.

    ;)

Not to inject myself in this, but where exactly do you see the Camaro in the Lamborghini?

Amazing looking car. I think it corrected whatever few bad lines the lp 640 had.

I don't see any camaro, definitely alcohol involved in that one.
Definitely some pantera-isms. And it most definitely has some similarities to the Gallardo, but that is to be expected given that they are sorta made by the same company.

agreed for most part. I LOVE the look of this thing. BUT....You are wrong in one area however: it needs to be Monterey Blue but make it pearl not metallic (or Ferrari Avio Blu pearl also instead of metallic), with bare glossy carbon roof and rear deck. throw on a set of of BBS F1 wheels like on the 599 GTO, but single lug design. keep the gigantic retractable wing body color but raise it another 5 inches when fully "entenzed" :D...to look a la 670 SV. now THAT would be absolutey mind blowing. and while we're at it, lets do the Reiter Engineering treatment...full race engine internals, exhaust, roll cage, and get rid of 'unecessary' things to reach that 2500lb wgt of the 2011 LP-670 SV GT1 race car:)[/QUOTE]

for that you have to wait for future variants... If you scrutinize the car enough, there is plenty of weight saving potential that can make this a 3200 car... Leave the tub bare, less carpet, less leather, less of the useless gadgets and the weight sheds right off... Not to mention the amount of parts underneath that can be lightened up... Plus, plenty of potential for the v12. Lamborghini has already projected probably a 10 year cycle on this chassis and thus will space out the new variants with a progressive weight reduction... At the end of the cycle, expect to see 3200lbs and 800hp to be the norm...

Actually the Countach copied the Pantera long before the Aventador

Dallara perfected the suspension geometry on the Pantera, figured out the right large tire sizing and use of fender flares on the Group 4 Panteras before going back to Lamborghini and applying his experience to the Countach LP400S. Check out a Group 4 Pantera and then look at a Walter Wolf LP400S and you'll see the similarities.

You are a ****. An arrogant and elitist ****, but a **** nonetheless. I don't know how you think you came out on top. You pulled the trained designer card, whilst I implied that you were blind for not seeing the obvious, and then, another designer(Lesia44) came along and confirmed what I said, blowing your I am right because I am a trained designer argument out of the water. The funny part is that you thought Lesia44 was confirming what you said. This gaffe was not only embarassing for you, but also put your intelligence into question.

By the way, the LP700 looks lovely in white.

i know, i was just having a bit of fun. yes, you can definately see the wgt coming down while hp increases. see the headers and exhaust on the show engine? there's tons of wgt to be saved right there. plus more use of CF inside, possibly use of even lighter alloys (Zonda). per the engine, i see it as a 750+ hp engine right NOW, it's just 'choked' for whatever reason (product cycles?). wont be long until someone comes out with new aftermarket headers on back to the tips. its specs right now are superb, but yeah, imagine 800+ naturally apirated hp, ~3300 lbs wet = OMG
