    As above.

There have been talks about people like Benny Caiola having had 3 Enzo's at once, and a Dutch collector (Harry van de Moesdijk) allegedly said he was finding a third (yellow) one after having a black and red one in his collection before he sold it all.

What's the point of having multiple versions of the same car?

I could certainly understand perhaps having a "his" and "hers" car, or perhaps having one stock and one modified, but the hoarding of multiple versions of the same car just seems to be all about the bragging rights.

Unfortunately, it just sounds crass to say: "Oh yea, I've got three Enzos".

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Or maybe he just likes the Enzo a lot?

I don't know the reasons behind owning three Enzos, but personally I own two good watches and both are Rolex Milgauss - why - because I love the watch and enjoy wearing both variants. I get more pleasure from those than if I were to have two differing Rolex. Just a personal thing.

I own three of the same motorcycle...two are the same exact year. The third a year later, but the same model.
Each is it's own living breathing being...
I have one I like to ride around town, one on longer rides, and one I like to hack away at and try different parts or settings.

Yeah but... Hmm. I know there are some people who have two or three of the same cars because they travel a lot and want their homes to each have the same car. Typical vehicle for these people are RR Phantoms, but never heard of someone owning three Enzos/other comparable hypercar or any sportscar for that matter. I think I read about a NSX owner who had one high mileage daily beater, one stripped out track car and one late model with Targa roof, but it's still not the same as having three identical Enzos.

Well i can understand having multiples of the same car if you really love the model and have a lot of cash. When i play GT5 :)D), i usually buy several cars with different colors because i cant decide which i prefer, which i will change the wheels etc.. so these guys do the same but in real life!

Or they just keep a spare in case they destroy the first one. The third is just for display as a collector's item! It's a rather fortunate position for one to be in.

If one or two are in the shop, it's always good to have a backup.

Ralph lauren owns two Mclaren f1's and I understand why there is nothing better, and I'm sure the lm version is worth more then the three enzo's alone.

I can't see owing more than one of the same car unless you drive one and keep one for show.

Personally, I could never keep a car for show only. My Enzo's been sitting in the garage for 6 month without an engine and we hardly look at it because we know we can't drive it!

Even having the same car at different homes is kind of boring.

Actually, I believe he owns three McLaren F1 road cars, one of which is a genuine F1 LM.

Didn't this Icemanbop dude claim to have three?

One of them he would keep for his son until he got old enough.

Stefan Eriksson had three although he did leave one spread over quite a large part of California.

Erikkson only had two; I know of someone who has two black ones, but no one who has three.

    Cheers.

    -

The hows and why one would want to own 3 of the same car don't bother me, everyone has a different reason. Point of this thread was basically curiosity :).

Cars where more or less stolen though, weren't they? I consider loaning money from a bank to buy cars, move said cars out of continent (!), not paying back the amount borrowed, theft.
