    Fantastic car!

I hated it in pictures - the Maranello shape doesn't work for me in bright colours, I thought. But then I saw a Giallo one in real life, and I must say - it has a certain something. I liked it. I would NEVER buy it, but I liked it.

what the numbers are for exterior colors produced by the factory.

How many for the entire run of 550 & 575 ???

    Anybody have that info?

when I was looking it seemed that most of the cars available were Grigio or Red.

Giallo does not look good in pictures but in real life it is breathtaking. My experience with TDF was the exact opposite, loved it in the pics but the car looked a little dull in real life.

I'd be curious to learn if someone here can photoshop picture #20 to reverse the colors, so we could see it.

Post #41. It's the interior of an argento 550 at Foreign Cars Italia. The particular photo of the interior I believe is 20/23. Thanks!

So does that mean you would like to see the grey seats in Bordeaux and the Steering wheel in Grey?

Yes it does Barry. On overcast days it looks black on first and second glance, on bright sunny days it is dark to medium blue but with a hint of purple.

Here are a couple of shots in various lighting conditions. The first one is parked next to a TdF on a very overcast day to give you an idea of the colour. A big difference between yours and mine is of course that Pozzi is non-metallic. Stunning colour though, I think my favourite in the Ferrari range.

I've only seen one blue/red color combo on a Ferrari and it was a 599 that was sold new in our area (at FOW in Northern Virginia).

I believe it was tdf blue.
The only thing I would change color-wise would be the yellow brake calipers to silver, black, or red.

Here's a pic I took of it on the FOW showroom floor back in 2007:

Ron- I like the yellow calipers on the blue car. But then, I am partial to yellow calipers for most color cars.

I also like yellow calipers, especially on black Ferraris.

However, this particular 599 car is IMO trying to be brave with the blue/red color combo.
So, I'm thinking the focus should be on that red interior color next to the blue body.

The yellow calipers, in this case, kind of steal some of that blue/red shock value by drawing some attention to them.
Red calipers would continue the blue/red theme.
Silver calipers would blend into the wheel color.
Black calipers would be invisible compared to the blue/red colors.

So, just explaining why I made that comment about the yellow calipers.

I think it looks stunning,, yellow calipers and all.. even i'm not a hugh fan of the 599 but i would take this one with not too much arm twisting ))

    Here's a link to a similar 612 ,, http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2570183.htm

If I do upgrade to Mov'It calipers, they will be yellow, too.
