The whole car looks like something designed by high-school kids.

A typical 05/06 Murcielago Roadster looks ten times better.

That's in Geneva ? the Z at the end of the plate indicates that VAT is not paid, the car can only be registred one year like this, then the VAT has to be paid or the car exported.

Even if the Manta-Countach is the worst looking of the whole series it's still far superior to the Reventon...

This is fantastic.I rember organizing this meeting as it was in the beginning of the year when nothing usually goes on.We had 28 lambos turn up which apart from Silverstone classic was the largest gathering in many years.
I will dig out the old photos and post them up.
I remember one of my friends driving my Anniversary and on turning up he was sitting in the car not getting out.I went over and asked him why he was still in the car and he replied that he couldnt find the door handle!
The UK dealer also turned up with the new Diablo SV whic he let us drive!!It was incredibly fast. This in turn caused me to sell my Miura and buy one.Not the best of investments but as for fun second to none.
As for both the LP400s now being yellow this is not correct.
The red one has been painted yellow and was sold at auction recently and i believe has gone to Hong Kong.
The blue one is in primer and awaiting a decision on its fate.

I had the old car out for it's post winter layup drive lat night. Soooooooo good to be back driving her.
The indicators were not operating from the column although the hazard lights did work. Checked the no 2 fuse which was fine.
Is there a relay which operates them?
Mine is a 86QV so the fuses are under the dash in the passenger footwell
    The column switch 'clicks' ok

Ah yes, I remember 1120094 well from when Mike Lake owned it, UK registered LGF 849 N.. At that point it was metallic blue, not Blu Tahiti really.

Why not go back to the original color, especially since the opportunity to do so is present?

BTW it is written on another website that the car is due to be painted yellow, hence my comment.

As I'm just coming back from Sant'Agata, it's so funny to recognize the place where the engine pics were shoot... not at factory, as it has no more restoration facility... but at TOP MOTORS, Oracio Salvioli's workshop !

All LP400 cars had magnesium hubs, sump/diff casting, and wheels to reduce weight. All magnesium replaced with aluminum alloy after LP400 (some early low bodies still have magnesium here and there as it was phased out) because the magnesium was more susceptible to corrosion than aluminum.

Unless #1 was quite different from the cars that followed the choice of colors doesn't appear quite original.

YES!!!! The green Countach! I remember that issue, with the estate sale cars from Forbes. They also had a green LM002 in that issue!

Malcolm did an interview in NYC where he drove a red one thru the city, is it on 60 minutes?
