I am just about to put my 430 back on the road. Its been off since the end Sept 10. I had intended to use it after then but events got in the way. Consequently I didnt turn off the battery and attach the Ctek until it was to late. The battery is dead. The car will have to be started by booster pack.
I have read page 113/114 of the manual. Are there any useful hints or suggestions to supplement page 113 instructions.
I did a search '430 relearn cycle' but came up zip.

The car needs about 10 minutes at idle with everything turned off to relearn. After that, just get in and drive it.

I let my old battery drain to nothing one winter. Jump started the car, waited ten minutes, drove over to Sears and bought a replacement battery and life has been fine ever since. No problems whatsoever.

The battery is in a lousy location for ease of jumping and ease of replacement, but it's WAY better than on my 355 where you had to jack up the car, remove the wheel, remove wheel well lining and then you could get to the battery. Even jumping it was bad...had to remove an engine bay panel even to get to the jumper connections.

Just follow the manual, and you won't have any codes. Wait for 10 seconds before firing up the engine, then until car reaches operating temperature, which should take the 10 minutes suggested above.

And a word of advice to those in states with emissions test: DO NOT disconnect your battery close to the due date on this, as it takes hundreds of miles for the ECU to set the readiness codes. I had to do a crazy procedure to pass inspections due to ignorance on that. Take care.
