When we had the Bertram we would drop anchor of Laverton/Werribee and watch 'em fly over the bay towards the show. Best sight the P51,a couple of 50s fighters Sabre/Mig and the Qantas Connie. I'd llike to go just can't handle the traffic. Have a great day.
was this at Avalon ? I never got to see one of these in person, was suppose to be the next generation F111 but had a lot of the technology cut from the program due to the expense
I saw one at Farnborough in 2008 doing about the same as the above... they are very big and very scary There was one at Peace for an airshow a few years ago too, but it was a static display because it was too heavy for our weedy runway The flight crew were standing next to it and responding to every Aussie-who-thinks-he's-funny with "no sir we do not do that sir" or similar
the CIA aircrews never respond to any query I remember refuelling a CIA C-130 that had a Howitzer hanging out the back and those Gatling guns poking out the side windows that put a round every square inch on the ground and they wouldn't even admit they were CIA And then I tried crossing the CIA flightline in Hawaii many years ago to get a better look at the U2 and having a gun pointed at my head, then explained I was an Aussie and then they took me over to the MAC terminal for a burger to have a "chat"
Listen Rob...we are all adults here, but we don't need to hear about your sex life on a car forum...OK??? (s followed by a colloquial term for an African American....damn autocensor!!! ******)
Mt Martha is a suburb of the Melbourne beach area. My view as i was having a drink. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damned limited editing time, obviously I meant Pearce not Peace as you've realised. Anyway, it was too heavy for multiple cycles - once in and out was alright (and I assume it's the in rather than the out which is the problem). I think they bought their cockpit sunshade from Supercheap Auto or something http://bricktop.smacktards.org/mike/Stuff/Pearce/B-1B%20Lancer.jpg
LOL Speaking of B1s in and out, both departed yesterday but one returned immediately with non-retractable gear. That one left Avalon again a few hours ago for a fun gear-down flight to Amberley in search of a bigger hammer (/jack).
