I'm seriously considering ordering some custom floor mats for my 458. Any of you guys have pics of the mats installed in the car?

I don't know about those...I'm sure the quality is excellent...but the look just isn't for me personally.

Take some pics of them in your car...maybe in the car it will change my mind?

Although I have a set like the one pictured above, another alternative is a Keith Collin's Custom Sculpted Mat if you really want a set of Mats that will set the Mats ablaze. I own several sets of his mats and they are pictured below.

Sorry about the iphone shots. They really do not do them justice, but think of the Cavallino or checkers or Shields as raised sculpted carpet rather than indented and basically flat like the previously mentioned example......which is a nice mat by the way and for the money is a deal, but these mats are truly different.

Keith Collins mats are more art and IMHO goes better with the look and flavor of the car. Car Mats are like anything you get what you like and pay for it but then you probably pay more for art:)

Sorry, either google Keith Collins floor mats and you will find new and used on the web, mostly ebay or go to www.artexture.com and you can email or talk to the man himself.

NO problem. I really love them. Definitely check them out, as they do custom colors, designs, etc. Their stitching and carpet quality is the best i've seen.

Do the customs mats by Keith Collins come with the proper holes for attaching the mats to the 458?

Keith Collins mats do not come with holes that fit the 458 but they fit snugly and perfectly in to the floor boards so to speak.

They have a very tacky backplane that does not slide around. Anyway, I have had about 5 sets for my different F-cars and never had an issue with them moving once they are put down in to the floor well.

The main difference you will note with the KC floor mats is that they are super thick heavy thread carpets, they literally are heavy and they are sculpted instead of embroidered thread like some others. Not to say embroidered is not nice they are, but as they say, once you go sculpted, you never go back, to thread that is:)

Depends on which set you are referring to.

There are pictures of several. It depends on color combinations and whether you want 458 Italia only or you want to add the Cavallino or you want just the Cavallino.

KC Mats start in the 750 range and go to as much as 1400 with checkers, logos and such.

I believe the last set I got had the 458 Italia and the Cavallino sculpted in red with black carpet and it was $1200. My nieghbor got just the sclupted Cavallino and I think he said it was $800.

    So pick your poison:)

    The difference is the sculpting.

I agree is very nice, but just a little to expensive for floor mat . It is definitely more like art I would hand in the garage.
