That looks more like it, except I have mostly seen the DD headers in black when new, but of course the black burns off pretty quickly. Maybe some came from the factory grey/silver colored?
Re-reading your post, I am thinking they were as in the pic I posted. I have some archived factory engine assembly images from circa 1986 so I can check..
For those that want the wrinkle finish but would like a more durable product than the factory finish, a local powder coat supplier refinished my cam covers in a "wrinkle powder" that looks fantastic. While I'm normally a paint guy, I was impressed with the look of the powder finish. I soda blasted the original finish off and sent them over for powder coating. When the cam covers came back, I used a fine sandpaper to remove the coating from the script (Lamborghini). To keep the script looking "new" I used an artists brush to apply a coat of a two component clear directly to the letters. The end result is a factory look with what should be better than original durability.
Gallardo guy here, with a cam-cover question. My '04's black crinkle paint is flaking, right where it meets the "Lamborghini" letters. It needs some touch-up. Do I need to use heat-resistant paint or are the temps there not that high? I have a gloss black paint pen that might do the trick, or could find some other paint and use an artist's brush. Thanks for your input, and sorry to (temporarily) hijack this thread.

too bad it's origins included those bumpers :/ ...the money green and gold wheels/interior are up there in the 'cool' category though, one off and works well on a Countach!
It wasn't the first with gold wheels and gold interior.. cool, probably, but in good taste? Probably not. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe, that WW car is just uber cool, no doubt. I personally like the 'bad taste' outrageous color combos on the already outrageous cars
Oh no that's Albert Silvera's car (1120222). THIS is the Walter Wolf car you are thinking about (1120202). Pictured when brand new with EE plates.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
